MOUSS Stereo-Video Data for Hawaiian Deep 7 Bottomfish Surveys collected by the NOAA Ship Oscar Elton Sette (SE-17-02) from 2017-03-09 to 2017-03-22

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data archive contains the Modular Optical Underwater Survey System (MOUSS) stereo-video data from the NOAA Ship Oscar Elton Sette (Cruise SE-17-02) collected around the Main Hawaiian Islands (MHI) for the stock assessment of the Deep 7 Bottomfish species. The Deep 7 are the most culturally important and highly valued of the deep-water bottomfish species in Hawaii composed of six snapper species and one grouper species. Dates of the survey range from 2017-03-09 to 2017-03-22.

BASE Temperature Data Record (TDR) from the SSM/I and SSMIS Sensors, CSU Version 1.4

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The BASE Temperature Data Record (TDR) dataset from Colorado State University (CSU) is a collection of the raw unprocessed antenna temperature data that has been written into single orbit granules and reformatted into netCDF-4. The temperature data are from the Special Sensor Microwave Imager (SSM/I) and Special Sensor Microwave Imager Sounder (SSMIS) series of passive microwave radiometers carried onboard the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) satellites.

NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of SSMI(S) and AMSR2 Microwave Brightness Temperatures, CSU Version 2

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This NOAA Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) from Colorado State University (CSU) contains brightness temperatures that have been improved and quality-controlled over the observational time period. The temperature data are from the Special Sensor Microwave Imager (SSM/I) and Special Sensor Microwave Imager Sounder (SSMIS) series of passive microwave radiometers carried onboard the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) satellites, and from the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2 (AMSR2) carried onboard the Global Change Observation Mission 1st - Water (GCOM-W1) satellite.

United States Climate Reference Network (USCRN) Standardized Soil Moisture and Soil Moisture Climatology

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN) was designed to monitor the climate of the United States using research quality instrumentation located within representative pristine environments. This Standardized Soil Moisture (SSM) and Soil Moisture Climatology (SMC) product set is derived using the soil moisture observations from the USCRN.

United States Climate Reference Network (USCRN) Heat Indices

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN) was designed to monitor the climate of the United States using research quality instrumentation located within representative pristine environments. This heat index product is designed to provide heat index variables calculated hourly for each USCRN station location.

United States Climate Reference Network (USCRN) Drought Indices

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN) was designed to monitor the climate of the United States using research quality instrumentation located within representative pristine environments. The USCRN hourly standardized soil moisture anomalies and percentiles were evaluated during changes in U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) status, with a focus on onset, worsening, and improving drought conditions.

NWS Center Weather Service Unit (CWSU) Pre-Duty Weather Briefings (PDWB)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

NWS Center Weather Service Units (CWSU) are required by an Interagency Agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to develop and post Pre-Duty Weather Briefings (PDWB) three times daily for Air Traffic Controller (ATC) awareness. The ATCs are required by FAA policy to affirm that they have viewed these briefings prior to taking their stations on shift. The Pre-Duty Weather Briefings provide an overview of current and forecast weather for the next 12 hours, and can give controllers an idea of what to expect.

Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) Level 2 Cloud cleared Radiances (CCR)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer is a Cross-nadir infrared sounder flown on the European MetOp satellite series. IASI measures atmospheric emission spectra to derive temperature and humidity profiles with high vertical resolution and accuracy. IASI is a Michelson interferometer with spectral coverage between 3.6 and 15.5 micrometers. At nadir, the instrument samples data at intervals of 25 km along track and cross track with each sample having a maximum diameter of about 12 km.

Hydrometeorological Automated Data System (HADS) SHEF-encoded Data

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

HADS is a real-time and near real-time data acquisition, processing, and distribution system operated by the National Weather Service Office of Dissemination. The HADS system acquires raw hydrological and meteorological observation messages from Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) Data Collection Platforms (DCPs). The data originates from DCPs owned and/or operated by more than 100 cooperators. The NWS operates a relatively small network of DCPs.
