The dataset contains thermocouple-based surface temperature measurements from two series of lithium-ion battery thermal-abuse experiments. The first series consists of continuous-heating tests, in which external heating was applied until ignition to quantify the time interval between the safety-valve breakage (SVB) event and subsequent ignition. The second series consists of interrupted-heating tests, where heating was deliberately stopped at different times after SVB to evaluate the safe intervention window and characterize delayed-ignition behavior.

This vector shoreline data is based on an office interpretation of imagery that may be suitable as a geographic information system (GIS) data layer.
