Fish tagged and released and Fish sampling collected from FV Gutsy Lady4 in Jarvis Island EEZ from 2015-09-21 to 2015-09-23 (NCEI Accession 0233205)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

During a tuna tagging research experiment implemented to provide data that are used for WCPO tuna stock assessment, the tagging platform FV Gutsy Lady4 spent 2 days within the Jarvis waters. Tuna tagging occurred on small tuna schools associated with drifting FADs. One skipjack tuna, 8 yellowfin and 3 bigeyes were tagged and released. At the same time biological samples were taken from one bigeye tuna, one dolphin fish and 3 wahoo. This data set is US State Dept MSR RATS U2015-018.

Water temperature, salinity, and other parameters collected by CTD from research vessel Sikuliaq, cruise SKQ201606S, in the north Pacific Ocean off California from 2016-05-16 to 2016-05-17 (NCEI Accession 0233567)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and other parameters collected by CTD from research vessel Sikuliaq, cruise SKQ201606S, in the north Pacific Ocean off California. Cruise SKQ201606S by research vessel Sikuliaq in May 2016 had the objective to service moorings for the CCE (California Current Ecosystem) project. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, CTD casts with water samples were done. The CTD data are reported here. The CTD data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data.
