Water temperature collected at multiple depths from a mooring in central Lake Huron, Great Lakes region from 2019-06-28 to 2021-05-13 (NCEI Accession 0240825)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Vertical water temperature data were collected at multiple depths on a single mooring in the central basin of Lake Huron from June 2019 through May 2021. This mooring was located approximately 36 miles east of South Ninemile Point, Alpena, Michigan. Vertical temperatures were collected hourly at 21 depths; maximum depth of this mooring location was 215 m. Seabird 39 and 56 models were used for the observations with a temperature accuracy of ±0.002 °C.

Management-Strategy Evaluation of the Main Hawaiian Islands with Atlantis Ecosystem Model: Hind-cast simulations and Ecosystem forecasting under climate scenarios (NCEI Accession 0240826)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The data described here is the Main Hawaiian Islands (MHI) Atlantis Ecosystem model output data for biomass and catch trends of various functional groups under different scenarios. Hind-cast simulations were run for model validation, and forecast simulations were run for ecological forecasting under different climate change scenarios.

Fisheries Oceanography in Coastal Alabama (FOCAL) acoustic doppler wave and current profiler data from 2020-08-05 to 2021-06-03 (NCEI Accession 0241013)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The oceanographic community routinely collects time-series data of water current velocity of the marine environment. Such data are essential for establishing baseline characteristics of marine and estuarine ecosystems. This current velocity data from upward looking 600 kHz Acoustic Doppler Wave and Current Profiler (AWAC) is from small coastal ocean observing system 25 kilometers southwest of the mouth of Mobile Bay, Alabama (30.0902 N 88.2116 W), that the Dauphin Island Sea Lab has been operating since 2004. The site is in approximately 20 m of water.

NCCOS Assessment: Hardbottom habitat and associated planning layers in support of Mission: Iconic Reefs coral restoration planning in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary from 2019-04-09 to 2021-02-26 (NCEI Accession 0241029)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Mission: Iconic Reefs is a large-scale coral restoration effort to improve reef ecological function by restoring diverse reef-building corals to seven reef sites in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Planning for Mission: Iconic Reefs began in 2019 but has been informed by years of research, successful trials, and expertise from two dozen coral scientists and restoration practitioners.

NCCOS spatial modeling of threatened Caribbean corals: presence-only modeling for threatened Orbicella species from the nearshore to the mesophotic from 2007-01-01 to 2018-12-31 (NCEI Accession 0241110)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset is a compilation of modeled spatial distributions of Threatened corals, Orbicella annularis (lobed star coral) and Orbicella faveolata (mountainous star coral)/Orbicella franksi (boulder star coral). in the shallow and upper mesophotic waters (0 – 60 meters depth) on the eastern Puerto Rico shelf (encompassing St. Thomas and St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands and the partial waters around Culebra and Vieques, Puerto Rico). Models for O. faveolata/O. franksi were combined into one model. All three Orbicella spp. area listed as Threatened under the U.S. Endangered Species Act.

Contents of gridded Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) vertical total electron content (VTEC) data derived from GPS lightning detections - 2018 (NCEI Accession 0241206)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

These files contain data products derived from Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) broadband radio-frequency (RF) sensors on Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites that measure transient events in the very-high frequency (VHF, 30-300 MHz) range. As a RF signal from transient broadband lightning events travels through the ionosphere, it is dispersed, so lower frequencies arrive later in time than higher frequencies.
