Fluorescence spectroscopy measurements of dissolved organic carbon in the Broadkill River estuary from 2020-01-22 to 2020-09-09 (NCEI Accession 0241383)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data presented in this submission was for the Delaware Sea Grant project R/HCE-37 titled "Fingerprinting the sources or organic matter using fluorescence spectroscopy: a feasibility study in the Broadkill River estuary." There were three types of samples included, the first was insitu samples from the Broadkill River watershed, located in southern Delaware, USA. Samples were collected at three different times of the year to represent seasonality. The second type of sample was source samples that represented the different land uses found within the watershed.

Phytoplankton and particulate chemical fluxes at Station M from 2003-10-14 to 2017-11-13 (NCEI Accession 0241430)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
These data were collected as part of the California Sea Grant award R/HCME-37. Data were generated from analysis of a sinking particle samples collected in a bottom-moored sediment trap deployed at deep sea time series Station M. Samples selected for analysis were associated with anomalous high particulate organic carbon flux events observed over the past 30 years of the time series. The dataset includes bulk fluxes associated with each sample and also the taxonomically resolved fluxes of phytoplankton cells quantified within the samples.

NCCOS Assessment: Assessing Land Based Sources of Pollution in Tinian, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, from 2013-08-27 to 2013-08-30 (NCEI Accession 0241439)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This tabular dataset is the result of field sampling of coral tissues (Pocillopora damicornis) and subsequent laboratory chemical analysis for pollutant levels in Tinian, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, in 2013. The pollutants analyzed included trace elements (Al, Ar, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, Mn, Hg, Ni, Se, Ag, Sn, Zn), PAHs, PCBs, pesticides (chlordanes, DDT, HCH), and organotins.

Native Forest Restoration in West Maui and the Wahikuli Watershed: Sediment Accumulation and Native Plant Health from 2017-02-08 to 2021-08-02 (NCEI Accession 0241591)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) monitored the effectiveness of a native forest restoration project in the Wahikuli watershed using sediment accumulation measurements, native plant health, and percent cover surveys. Rainfall at the site of restoration was also monitored with a McCrometer Minimet Weather Station to analyze the relationship between sediment accumulation, native plant health, and rainfall. Native plants, vetiver, and coconut coirs were installed horizontally to an old degraded dirt road parallel to the Wahikuli stream gulch to function as Best Management Practices (BMPs).

HCBC 2015 Hawaii Bleaching Analysis Ready Clustered Data (NCEI Accession 0241610)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The analysis-ready data described here result from performing hierarchical clustering of individual coral bleaching surveys conducted across the Hawaiian Archipelago in 2015. In order to resolve issues of spatial autocorrelation, the surveys were grouped into distinct clusters with a spatial resolution of 1km. This dataset contains environmental data paired for all 2015 observations, used to analyze drivers of the coral bleaching event. This dataset also contains weights assigned to each observation.

MOCNESS profile and ichthyoplankton and decapod specimen identification data collected during NRDA Plankton Survey Nick Skansi PC4 (NSPC4) in the northern Gulf of Mexico from 2010-10-16 to 2010-10-24 (NCEI Accession 0241617)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data package contains MOCNESS (Multiple Opening/Closing Net Environmental Sensing System) profile data and other ichthyoplankton and decapod specimen identification data collected during Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) Plankton Survey Nick Skansi PC4 (NSPC4) in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-10-16 to 2010-10-24. This survey was part of a series of NS NRDA cruises conducted in 2010 and 2011 to evaluate the distribution and densities of ichthyoplankton and other zooplankton in northern Gulf of Mexico waters potentially affected by the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill (DWHOS).
