Temperature, conductivity, and water currents data collected by CTDs and current meters on moored buoys in the Sermilik Fjord, Greenland from 2011-08-20 to 2012-09-16 (NCEI Accession 0126772)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data included in this dataset were collected in the Sermilik Fjord, located in East Greenland in the Ammassalik district close to the town of Tasiilaq. Data collection was conducted by deploying six moorings from August 2011 to September 2012. The seven moorings were named CM1SF5, CM2SF6, OE1, OW1, SF1, SF3, and SF4. Mooring CM1SF5 was located mid-fjord at a depth of 129 meters and was equipped with an SBE MicroCAT. Mooring CM2SF6 was located next to CM1SF5 at a depth of 265 meters. It was equipped with an SBE MicroCAT.

Oceanographic temperature and salinity profiles from CTDs aboard multiple Royal Australian Navy platforms in the coastal waters of Northern Australia from 2013-05-06 to 2014-12-07 (NCEI Accession 0126773)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset includes the Royal Australian Navy's quality controlled CTD data update for 2014. There are 12 directories containing a total of 1,291 netCDF files for submission, which were quality controlled at Marine Information Services, RAN Hydrography & Metoc Branch. Within each of these directories is also a text document called "README_data_quality.txt" which details quality control notes for the cruise.

The Coral Reef Temperature Anomaly Database (CoRTAD) Version 5 - Global, 4 km Sea Surface Temperature and Related Thermal Stress Metrics for 1982-2012 (NCEI Accession 0126774)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Version 5 of the Coral Reef Temperature Anomaly Database (CoRTAD) is a global, 4 km, sea surface temperature (SST) and related thermal stress metrics dataset for 1982-01-02 to 2012-12-28.

Mosaic of bathymetry derived from multispectral WorldView-2 satellite imagery of Agrihan Island, Territory of Mariana, USA, from 2003-08-26 to 2012-05-03 (NCEI Accession 0126914)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Bathymetric data derived from a multispectral WorldView-2 satellite image mosaicked to provide near complete coverage of nearshore terrain around the islands. Bathymetry values shallower than ~20 m were derived by gauging the relative attenuation of coastal, blue, green and yellow spectral radiance as a function of depth. A multiple linear regression analysis of coastal, blue, green and yellow band spectral values against depth determined the variables of y-intercept, coastal, blue, green and yellow slope values. Variables then used in multivariate slope intercept formula to derive depth.

Surface currents and temperature data from satellite-tracked drifters in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas from 2011-08-07 to 2014-03-06 (NCEI Accession 0126984)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Drifters were deployed from vessels in the Chukchi Sea during the ice-free seasons of 2011-2013. Drifter positions were determined via GPS, and positions were relayed via Iridium communications to on-shore data centers. Drifters were tracked from their release until they a) were picked up at sea for redeployment; b) beached on-shore; or c) died at sea because of battery failure or other causes. Many drifters remained active as sea ice re-formed in the region, and 3 drifters were frozen in the ice and released the following spring.

Oceanographic temperature, salinity, and oxygen profiles from CTDs aboard the R/V ENDEAVOR during the cruise PNE2014 in the North Atlantic and Equatorial Atlantic from 2015-01-03 to 2015-02-06 (NCEI Accession 0126985)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The 2014 PIRATA Northeast Extension Cruise EN-550 was designed to collect observations in the northeast Tropical Atlantic, to service the northeast extension of the PIRATA array, to collect CTD casts at each of the mooring sites, and to recover six subsurface hydrophone moorings in an NSF funded study (the cruise was co-chartered by NSF).

Water temperature data from reef sites off the upper Florida Keys from 2003-09-18 to 2023-12-31 (NCEI Accession 0126994)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Temperature loggers were deployed at various monitoring sites off the upper Florida Keys where other ecological studies were underway, most focused on aspects of Acropora spp. status or ecology. Hobo Tidbit® or Pendant® loggers were secured to the substrate at a site and were programmed to record temperature every thirty minutes. In most cases loggers were exchanged every 3-4 months. Gaps in the data exist where loggers failed or were lost. Data collection began in 2003 and is ongoing at certain sites. The time ranges vary at each site.
