NRDA-processed CTD data from NOAA Ship PISCES in the Gulf of Mexico, Cruise 9 Leg 1, collected from 2011-03-23 to 2011-04-10, associated with the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill event (NCEI Accession 0130229)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Conductivity Temperature and Depth (CTD) measurements were collected aboard NOAA Ship Pisces to determine physical oceanographic parameters of the water column, and in some cases used to help guide sample collection as part of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill sampling effort. Temperature, conductivity/salinity, depth, dissolved oxygen, and fluorometry data were collected onboard NOAA Ship Pisces. The final product is a series of NetCDF files containing every CTD cast that has been processed and quality checked.

CTD, and other data collected from R/V Pelican off the Mississippi River Delta in the Gulf of Mexico for the GISR:G01 Field Study and Mooring Deployment Cruise from 2012-07-05 to 2012-07-11 (NCEI Accession 0130371)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Current meter moorings with internally-recording instruments were deployed on this cruise (G01) in July 2012. (The moorings were recovered and redeployed in July 2013). During this cruise a CTD/Rosette samplers, two shipboard acoustic Doppler currents profilers (75Khz and 300Khz), and an underway continuous sampling system were operated. This data set includes CTD data, NISKIN bottle samples (salinity, dissolved oxygen, DOC, and estimated oil equivalents) and documentation. Nutrients and DIC were collected but not analyzed at the time of this submission.

Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
A chemical tracer was released at approximately 1100m depth east of the Mississippi Canyon. Later, CTD data and water samples were collected to measure tracer concentrations to determine initial transport and dispersion of the tracer. RAFOS floats were released to track the water movement.
