CTD and water sample data from research vessel New Horizon in the NE Pacific from 2009-09-19 to 2008-09-22 (NCEI Accession 0156931)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The expedition by research vessel New Horizon from 19 to 22 September 2008 had the objective to deploy a number of moored platforms for the CORC project (Consortium on the Ocean's Role in Climate) off southern California. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, four CTD casts with salinity water samples were collected; these data are reported here. The CTD salinity data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. The raw CTD data files are included for completeness as well.

Processed CTD and water sample data from research vessel Ocean Starr in the NE Pacific from 2012-08-31 to 2012-09-01 (NCEI Accession 0156932)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The expedition by research vessel Ocean Starr on Aug. 31 and Sept. 01, 2012 had the objective to recover and re-deploy a number of moored platforms from the CORC project (Consortium on the Ocean's Role in Climate) off southern California. To calibrate and validate the mooring data, three CTD casts and a small number of salinity water samples were collected; these data are reported here. The CTD salinity data have been quality-controlled and adjusted using the water sample data. The raw CTD data files are included for completeness as well.

Temperature, salinity, and water chemistry data from quarterly bottom transects of the Comprehensive Environmental Monitoring Program at the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion plant in Keahole, Island of Hawaii 1993-2007 (NCEI Accession 0156980)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The NATURAL ENERGY LABORATORY OF HAWAII AUTHORITY (NELHA) is a state agency that operates a unique and innovative ocean science and technology park in Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaii. It supports an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) facility at Keahole Point on the west coast of the Island of Hawaii. Five stations along six transects have been established where quasi-quarterly bottom water measurements are acquired for temperature, salinity, bacteria, and 12 water chemistry parameters within 1993 to 2007. Data are collected from small boats.
