This dataset includes profile discrete measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, chlorofluorocarbons, CTD temperature, CTD salinity, CTD oxygen, chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) and other measurements obtained during the R/V Knorr cruise (EXPOCODE 316N20150906) in Davis Strait from 2015-09-06 to 2015-09-24.

Extant data from the MESC Data Management System include sediment particle size distribution, discrete hydrography, identification and enumeration of benthic fauna, and identification and enumeration of water column biota.

This dataset contains CTD and plankton species relative abundance data collected during R/V Bellows cruise BE-1403 from 2013-09-14 to 2013-09-16. CTD data were collected from 27 sample sites, while plankton samples were collected from 14 offshore shelf sites off the Florida Panhandle at the head of DeSoto Canyon using a net with a mesh size of 25-micrometer and 0.5-meter diameter. Plankton abundance data report the location, date, time, and length of tow for each sample.

This dataset contains oceanographic data collected from NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2018-07-12 to 2018-07-31. Data acquisition from shipboard sensors includes navigational data, meteorological data (conductivity, depth, echo sounder, temperature, wind), and oceanographic data (bathythermograph, sound velocity probe, thermosalinograph). This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from RTM Wakmatha on the Great Barrier Reef and Gulf of Carpentaria, Australia from 2017-01-19 to 2017-05-09. These data include fugacity of carbon dioxide (fCO2) - atmosphere, fCO2 - water, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature, barometric pressure, ship speed and ship direction. The instruments used to collect these data include General Oceanics/Neill shower equilibrator, General Oceanics Model 8050 fCO2 measuring system.

This dataset reports plankton species abundance from 5 sites off the Florida Panhandle at the head of DeSoto Canyon, Gulf of Mexico aboard the R/V Bellows cruise BE-1415 on 2014-05-31. The R/V Bellows cruise BE-1415 extended from 2014-05-29 to 2014-06-01. Quantitative phytoplankton profiles were collected at 5 sites (P1, P3, P5, P7, P9) along the Pensacola transect (Longitude -87.25 degrees N). For this, one-liter samples were collected from the surface and at different depths using Niskin bottles. Samples were filtered onto a 0.45-micrometer nitrocellulose filter and air-dried.

SOCCOM project is a large scale National Science Foundation funded research project based at Princeton University that started in September 2014.

The Marine Place Names were extracted from the NOAA Electronic Navigational Charts. This data set contains the geographic place names for features in the U.S territorial waters and outer continental shelf.
