Water temperature, conductivity, pressure and others parameters collected by CTD from the survey vessel Redlinger in the Columbia River from 2018-02-12 to 2018-02-28 (NCEI Accession 0178803)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains water temperature, conductivity, pressure, and other parameters taken by CTD (CastAway). These data are used to sample sound velocity in order to correct bathymetry (water depth) along the Columbia River. Data are in CSV format.

National Coral Reef Monitoring Program: Photomosaic images of Cheeca Rocks Coral Reef, Islamorada, Florida collected on 2016-07-11 (NCEI Accession 0178832)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data set contains photomosaic images of coral reef benthic communities, created as a product for the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program’s (CRCP) National Coral Reef Monitoring Program (NCRMP). Photomosaics are a composite of many underwater images, digitally stitched together into a single cohesive photo. These mosaics have approximately the same resolution and clarity of the component pictures but collectively produce a “landscape view” of the coral reef community within each plot.

Coral nursery outplant data of Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands from 2003 to 2017 (NCEI Accession 0178975)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

These data include the location, coordinates, species, number of colonies, and genetic identification (if available) for staghorn and elkhorn corals outplanted from coral nurseries for population enhancement in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands between 2003 and 2017. These data were compiled from permit reports for the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and the State of Florida Special Activity License and from coral nursery operators.

NCCOS Assessment: Coral Disturbance Response Monitoring (DRM) along the Florida Reef Tract following Hurricane Irma from 2017-10-09 to 2017-10-18 (NCEI Accession 0179071)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data set contains both coral demographic data and roving diver surveys conducted on October 9 - 18, 2017 to assess the impacts of Hurricane Irma on sections of the Florida Reef Tract. A total of 57 sites were completed, from Biscayne Bay to the Marquesas. Six of the sites were within Biscayne National Park, with the remainder in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

Coral Ecosystem Connectivity from Pulley Ridge to the Florida Keys: Moored Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler Time-Series Data from 2012-08-15 to 2015-06-24 (NCEI Accession 0181331)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Bottom-mounted, upward-facing, acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs) were deployed at three locations (Northern Dry Tortugas, Southern Dry Tortugas and Pulley Ridge) across the southwest Florida shelf between 2012 and 2015. Each ADCP instrument recorded hourly measurements of near-surface and near-bottom water velocity (east/west component u, north/south component v, magnitude, and direction) and bottom temperature. A 40-hour low-pass filter (40HLP) was applied to the data, and vertically-integrated mean horizontal water velocity (VIMHWV) calculated.
