Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and sound speed collected/calculated for the OPR-J317-KR-18 project under contract with NOAA. Sea Bird Electronics SBE19plus CTD sensor measurements of depth, temperature, and conductivity were used for speed of sound calculations through the water column. Dual CTD casts were conducted at least once daily on board R/V Sea Scout and more often as needed to ensure proper working order of sensors. Data are in ASCII (CNV) format.

Monk Seal Ecosystem Model Data: A Comparison of Ecosystem Structure and Energy Flows of Monk Seal Populations from Laysan Island and French Frigate Shoals in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands from 1998 through 2015 (NCEI Accession 0190881)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
To understand various ecosystem dynamics that could explain observed changes and differences in monk seal biomass at French Frigate Shoals (FFS) and Laysan (LAY), Ecopath with Ecosim (EwE) version 6.4.4 modeling software was used to conduct two types of simulations, sensitivity (to understand the system) and hindcast (to evaluate drivers of monk seal population dynamics). EwE models for LAY and FFS were developed and model output was compared between the 2 models.

Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Physical parameters and coral response data were used to assess coral reef resilience off the Eastern Pacific coast after the 2014-2015 El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events. Data contained in this package consist of benthic temperature data, benthic cover data and qPCR analysis collected from several coral reefs within the Gulf of Panama and Gulf of Chiriqui, Panama. Quantitative PCR (qPCR) analysis of 131 colonies of Pocillopora spp. were sampled to understand patterns of algal symbiont communities.
