Global Climate Station Summaries
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Global Hourly Summaries are simple indicators of observational normals which include climatic data summarizations and frequency distributions. These typically are statistical analyses of station data over 5-, 10-, 20-, 30-year or longer time periods. In a GIS map service, the results of these calculations are represented by a given symbology set for different statistical criteria and observation type. Having the ability to modify the symbology "on-the-fly" is a useful tool in the analysis of station trends, accuracy, and regional or localized variances.

State of the Climate Monthly Overview - Drought
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The State of the Climate is a collection of periodic summaries recapping climate-related occurrences on both a global and national scale. The State of the Climate Monthly Overview - Drought report describes conditions in the United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands as warranted. A national drought overview is provided with detailed discussion on various regions. Several indices are presented: Palmer drought indices, Standard Precipitation Index, and other agricultural and hydrological indices.

NOAA High-Resolution Sea Surface Temperature (SST) Analysis Products
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This archive covers two high resolution sea surface temperature (SST) analysis products developed using an optimum interpolation (OI) technique. The analyses have a spatial grid resolution of 0.25 degree and temporal resolution of 1 day. One product uses Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) infrared satellite data, while the other uses satellite data from both AVHRR and the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer from NASA Earth Observing System (AMSR-E).

U.S. Local Climatological Data (LCD)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Local Climatological Data (LCD) are summaries of climatological conditions from airport and other prominent weather stations managed by NWS, FAA, and DOD. The product includes hourly observations and associated remarks, and a record of hourly precipitation for the entire month. Also included are daily summaries summarizing temperature extremes, degree days, precipitation amounts and winds.

GOES Surface and Insolation Products (GSIP), Version 2
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Version 2 of the GOES Surface and Insolation Products (GSIP) is a high spatial resolution (1/8 x 1/8 degrees) solar radiation product estimated from the GOES-East and -West Imager radiance measurements hourly for the Extended Northern Hemisphere scan sector and every three hours for the Full Disk scan sector. The products contain upwelling and downwelling shortwave (0.2-4.0 micrometers) and visible (0.4-0.7 micrometers) radiative fluxes at the top of the atmosphere and at the surface, cloud fraction and skin temperature.

Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS) 1.0 Degree
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS) is a weather forecast model made up of 21 separate forecasts, or ensemble members. The National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) started the GEFS to address the nature of uncertainty in weather observations, which are used to initialize weather forecast models. The proverbial butterfly flapping her wings can have a cascading effect leading to wind gusts thousands of miles away.
