Russian Ice Island Upper Air Data

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

USSR Ice Island Rawindsonde is historical digital data set DSI-6355, archived at the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). This is meteorological upper air data from ice islands in the Arctic Ocean, collected by the old Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). The period of record is 1950-91. Major parameters in upper air data sets are: geopotential height, pressure, temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed and direction.

Integrated Global Radiosonde Archive (IGRA), Version 1 (Superseded)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

**Please note, this dataset has been superseded by a newer version (see below). Users should not use this version except in rare cases (e.g., when reproducing previous studies that used this version).**Integrated Global Radiosonde Archive is a digital data set archived at the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). The Integrated Global Radiosonde Archive (IGRA) consists of radiosonde and pilot balloon observations at over 1500 globally distributed stations. Observations are available for standard, surface, tropopause and significant levels.

Regional Hydrodynamic Model Outputs of the NOAA Northern Gulf of America Operational Forecast System (NGOFS2)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The Northern Gulf of America Operational Forecast System 2 (NGOFS2) is based on a three-dimensional FVCOM model that runs on NOAA's High Performance Computing System (HPC). NGOFS2 relies on CO-OPS' real-time water level, temperature and salinity observations, NWS Extratropical Storm Surge (ETSS) forecasts, the Advanced CIRCulation Model (ADCIRC) ec2001 tide database, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) river data, and the Global Real-Time Ocean Forecast System (G-RTOFS).

GOES-R Rebroadcast Information (GRB-INFO) Packets

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

GOES-R Rebroadcast Information (GRB-INFO) Packets provide data related to the operations, health and performance of the GOES-R series flight and ground system, and includes the following types of information: Satellite acquisition data; Mission schedule; Flight system status, ABI Image Navigation and Registration (INR) performance data, GLM INR performance data, SUVI INR performance data, and Operator message. Each of these types of GRB INFO exists as xml documents in separate CCSDS Space Packets.

NESDIS Level 3 Blended Enterprise Rainfall Rates (ENTRAIN)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

The NESDIS Enterprise Rainfall Rates (ENTRAIN) algorithm produces instantaneous rainfall rate maps for operational flood forecasting. The algorithm identifies raining pixels and derives rain rates on a pixel level from infrared (IR) imagery. Its calibration is based on matches of IR data with microwave (MW) derived rainfall rates, which are considered to be the most accurate estimates of instantaneous rainfall rate available from satellite data.

NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of Monthly Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR), Version 3.0

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This Climate Data Record (CDR) contains the monthly mean Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) time series in global 2.5 degree x 2.5 degree equal-angle gridded maps spanning from January 1979 to present, and continuing monthly. The OLR is estimated from radiance observations from the operational polar-orbiting sounding instruments, including HIRS, IASI and CrIS, via multispectral OLR algorithm for HIRS, and spectral flux estimation algorithms for the hyper-spectral instruments, along with other temporal and spatial averaging methodologies.
