NOAA Climate Data Record (CDR) of Daily Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR), Version 2.0

This Climate Data Record (CDR) contains the daily mean Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) time series in global 1 degree x 1 degree equal-angle gridded maps spanning from January 1, 1979 to present, and continuing daily with a two-day lag. The OLR is estimated from radiance observations from the operational polar-orbiting sounding instruments, including HIRS, IASI and CrIS, via multispectral OLR algorithm for HIRS, and spectral flux estimation algorithms for the hyper-spectral instruments, along with other temporal and spatial averaging methodologies.

NOAA Extended Reconstructed Sea Surface Temperature (ERSST), Version 6

The NOAA Extended Reconstructed Sea Surface Temperature (ERSST) dataset is a global monthly sea surface temperature dataset derived from the International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Dataset (ICOADS). It is produced on a 2 x 2 degree grid with spatial completeness enhanced using statistical methods. This monthly analysis begins in January 1850 continuing to the present and includes anomalies computed with respect to a 1971-2000 monthly climatology. Version 6 (v6) is the newest version of ERSST.

A 10-m (1/3 arc-second) resolution gridded digital elevation model (DEM) grayscale hillshade for the bathymetry (ocean depth) surrounding Wake Island in the Central Pacific Ocean, one of the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands (USMOI). It covers the three low coral islands--Peale, Wake, and Wilkes--that make up the island, and extends onto the slopes of its volcanic pedestal.
