Climatological distributions of sea-air DeltafCO2 and CO2 flux densities in the Global Surface Ocean (NCEI Accession 0282251)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The late Taro Takahashi (LDEO/Columbia University) provided the first near-global monthly air-sea CO2 flux climatology in Takahashi et al. (1997), based on available surface water partial pressure of CO2 measurements. This product has been a benchmark for uptake of CO2 in the ocean. Several versions have been provided since, with improvements in procedures and large increases in observations, culminating in the authoritative assessment in Takahashi et al. (2009).

The 1991-2020 Sea Surface Temperature Normals (NCEI Accession 0282469)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The 1991-2020 climate normals for sea surface temperature (SST) were computed from the NOAA Daily Optimum Interpolation SST (OISST) dataset, in accordance to the climate normals guidelines of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The product includes SST mean, standard deviation, count, and extreme parameters. The spatial coverage of the product is on 0.25° spatial grids. This normals dataset is generated based on the 1991-2020 daily OISST with outputs of mean parameters for daily, monthly, seasonal, and annual time scales.

Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TA), pH on total scale, water temperature and salinity discrete samples collected during the ocean acidification (OA) sampling in the National Park Service coastal sites along the Gulf of Mexico and East coast of the United States from 2021-03-23 to 2023-03-23 (NCEI Accession 0282480)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) through a collaboration with the National Park Service collected ocean acidification discreet samples at select National Parks sites along the East Coast of the United States and in the Gulf of Mexico to increase near-shore data collection on a bi-annual frequency. Whenever possible, sample collection is coordinated with the OAP-funded GOMECC and ECOA cruises.

Seagrass density and biomass, and related data from seagrass monitoring station LM-151 in Laguna Madre Texas from 1989-03-24 to 2022-06-23 (NCEI Accession 0282643)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains raw sampling data beginning in 1989 for a long-term environmental and seagrass monitoring station in Laguna Madre (“LM-151”). This project served to understand environmental drivers of long-term changes in seagrass condition within the Upper Laguna Madre, Texas. Environmental parameters measured within the water column include water depth, dissolved oxygen concentration, underwater light level, pH, salinity, Secchi depth (turbidity), water temperature, total suspended solids, and dissolved inorganic nitrogen and ammonium.

Vogetrader Long-Term Monitoring 12 years After Impact: a collection of benthic data and imagery collected in 2022 to evaluate reef recovery and the efficacy of restoration efforts at the M/V VogeTrader grounding site in O'ahu, Hawai'i (NCEI Accession 0282702)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
On February 5, 2010, the cargo vessel M/V Vogetrader ran aground a shallow forereef in Oahu, Hawaii. In response to the loss of natural resources, three restoration techniques were implemented in 2013: coral outplanting, rubble removal, and passive restoration. In November 2022, monitoring surveys were conducted across three injury zones and nearby reference sites to assess recovery trajectories and compare the efficacy of the restoration efforts.

Oceanographic Data collected during the Exploration and Characterization of Fine-scale Physical-biogeochemical Environment over Deep Coral Reefs on the West Florida Slope using Integrated ROV-lander-sensor Systems 2019 (BioGeoChem) Expedition on R/V Point Sur and R/V Hogarth in the Gulf of Mexico from 2019-10-11 to 2020-09-04 (NCEI Accession 0282795)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains oceanographic data (ADCP Lander, Chemical, CTD, ROV, SCS), biological images and videos, and documentation. This project involves a comprehensive multidisciplinary study to explore and characterize two deep coral habitats with contrasting benthic communities on the west Florida slope of the Gulf of Mexico, including the testing of newly developed sensors deployed on an ROV to map and fully resolve the carbonate system at the sites.
