Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Benthic Deepwater Animal Identification Guide is a collection of in situ images of marine animals created from seafloor video taken by NOAA Ocean Exploration in the North Atlantic, North Pacific, and South Pacific Oceans from 2 Aug 2015 to 14 Sept 2019. Video were collected using the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) Deep Discover (D2) deployed from the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer. The purpose of this guide is to aid onboard scientists in animal identification, as well as for public interest.

Water temperature, bottom topography, currents, and others taken by XBT, echosounder, ADCP, and other instrumentation from research vessel Kaimei in Marianas Trench Marine National Monument from 2023-03-03 to 2023-03-25 (NCEI Accession 0283273)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains water temperature, bottom topography, currents, marine gravity, and sub bottom profiles taken from R/V Kaimei in the North Pacific. Based on the detail seafloor observation by remotely operative vehicles (KM-ROV and BMS), we observed the distribution of deep-sea hydrothermal activities and microbial and macrofaunal communities with the seafloor topography, obtained various types of rocks, sediments, hydrothermal deposits and waters, and animals.

Dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH, nutrients and other variables collected from discrete profile observations using CTD, Niskin bottle, and other instruments in the East Coast of the U.S. and Canada during the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown 3nd East Coast Ocean Acidification (ECOA3, or ECOA-3) cruise (EXPOCODE 33RO20220806) from 2022-08-06 to 2022-09-23 (NCEI Accession 0283329)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The East Coast Ocean Acidification (ECOA-3) Cruise on board the R/V Ronald H. Brown from Newport, took place in the Gulf of Maine and then along the East US coast to Miami. The effort was in support of the coastal monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP). The cruise was designed to obtain a snapshot of key carbon, physical, and biogeochemical parameters as they relate to ocean acidification (OA) in the coastal realm.

Monitoring of Water Column DIC, TAlk, and pH on the Southeast U.S. Shelf and Gulf of Mexico and the Development of Ocean Acidification Indicators to Inform Marine Resource Management from 2022-03-14 to 2022-03-19 (NCEI Accession 0283334)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Increasing amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide from human industrial activities are causing changes in global ocean carbon chemistry resulting in a reduction in pH, a process termed ocean acidification. In support of the coastal monitoring and research objectives of the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program (OAP), the South Florida Project Cruises (SFP) are utilized to collect water samples to measure surface water inorganic carbon and hydrographic parameters including nutrients.

Northern North Pacific Regional Climatology version 2 (NCEI Accession 0283566)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Northern North Pacific (NNP) is a resource-rich coastal zone with abundant fisheries and other material resources. The NNP Regional Climatology version 2 replaces the previous version of the NNP RC published in 2013. This NNP Regional Climatology (NNP RC) is based on almost seventy years of observations, and it incorporates a significant amount of data not previously available to the public. The NNP RC version 2, covering a longer time range of seven decades compared to six decades in v 1.
