Ocean measurements in the Amundsen Sea, Nathaniel B. Palmer Cruise 09-01, 05 January - 28 February 2009 (NCEI Accession 0071179)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
We are reporting ocean pressure, temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen data from 160 CTD/O stations occupied in the Amundsen Sea. These austral summer observations, most extending from within a few meters of the sea surface to a few meters of the sea floor, comprise the major portion of several related data sets obtained during cruise NBP09-01, from Punta Arenas to Punta Arenas, Chile.

NOAA Daily 25km Global Optimally Interpolated Sea Surface Temperature (OISST) in situ and AVHRR analysis supplemented with AVHRR Pathfinder Version 5.0 climatological SST for inland and coastal pixels, from 1981-09-01 to 2010-12-31 (NCEI Accession 0071180)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains the daily 25km global Optimally Interpolated Sea Surface Temperature (OISST) in situ and AVHRR analysis, supplemented with AVHRR Pathfinder Version 5.0 climatological SST for inland and coastal pixels, for 1981-09-01 through 2010-12-31. These SST data files were used during the processing of AVHRR Pathfinder Version 5.2 (PFV52) in the following ways:
1. As a first guess SST, used in the calculation of the PFV52 SST value from the brightness temperatures measured by the AVHRR instrument.

Net primary productivity (NPP) and associated parameters for the U.S. outer continental shelf waters, 1998-2009 (NCEI Accession 0071184)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset consists of monthly net primary productivity (NPP) estimates for 1998-2009 derived from the Vertically Generalized Production Model (VGPM) for the 26 Outer Continental Shelf planning areas in the United States, produced by CSA International, Inc. (CSA) under contract to the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement. The NPP data are provided as GeoTIFF files depicting global gridded monthly NPP estimates. Summary NPP statistics for each of the 26 planning areas are also provided as separate ASCII text files.
