Oceanographic data collected during the Titanic Expedition 2004 (titanic2004) on NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in North Atlantic Ocean from 2004-05-27 to 2004-06-12 (NCEI Accession 0072311)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Nearly 20 years after first finding the sunken remains of the RMS Titanic, marine explorer Robert Ballard returned in June 2004 to help the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) study the ship's rapid deterioration.

Oceanographic data collected during the Bonaire 2008: Exploring Coral Reef Sustainability with New Technologies (bonaire2008) project on Fetch1 and Gavia AUVs in Netherlands, Antilles from 2008-01-06 to 2008-01-29 (NCEI Accession 0072312)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles, is arguably the most pristine coral reef environment in the Caribbean. The percent coral cover is the highest and percent algal cover the lowest as compared to other Caribbean. Thus, the Bonaire reef environment represents a baseline against which we can compare other coral reefs.

AVHRR Pathfinder version 5 4km global sea surface temperature (SST) seasonal and annual day-night climatologies for 1982-2009 for the Gulf of Mexico (NCEI Accession 0072888)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains a set of sea surface temperature climatologies for the Gulf of Mexico (GOM), derived from the AVHRR Pathfinder Version 5 global 4km sea surface temperature data set. These GOM climatologies were produced from 5-day cloud-screened day-night averages of Pathfinder SST data from 1982-2009, which are archived at the National Oceanographic Data Center under separate accession numbers. In addition to sea surface temperature, the climatologies also include minimum, maximum, standard deviation, and number of observations.

NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) orthorectified mosaic true color (RGB) image tiles, Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, 2009 (NCEI Accession 0072980)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains true color (RGB) ortho-rectified mosaic tiles, created as a product from the NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) initiative. The source imagery was acquired from 20090810 - 20091021. The images were acquired with an Applanix Digital Sensor System (DSS). The original images were acquired at a higher resolution than the final ortho-rectified mosaic.

Bottom pressure, vertical acoustic round-trip travel time, and near-bottom currents data collected by Current-and-Pressure-recording Inverted Echo Sounders (CPIES), as part of the Kuroshio Extension System Study (KESS), from 26 April 2004 to 25 June 2006 in the Kuroshio Extension east of Japan (NCEI Accession 0073269)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains Current and Pressure recording Inverted Echo Sounder (CPIES) measurements collected during the Kuroshio Extension System Study (KESS) under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation. The measurements were taken between April 2004 and June 2006. Data are from 46 sites. The measured quantities include bottom pressure, vertical acoustic round-trip travel time and near-bottom currents.

Environmental properties and microbial communities in coastal waters of Barrow, Alaska from 2007-07-11 to 2009-01-14 (NCEI Accession 0073540)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data set consists of basic water column properties of the Beaufort Sea and the Chukchi Sea near Barrow, Alaska. The environmental properties include salinity, temperature, chlorophyll a, major plant nutrients, and ice and snow cover. The microbial data included the abundance of various microbial groups, leucine incorporation, and the abundance of genes for 16S rRNA and ammonia monooxygenase (amoA). The data were collected in summer 2007, winter and summer 2008, and winter 2009.
