A series of Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) cruises were conducted in 2010 and 2011 to evaluate the distribution and densities of ichthyoplankton and other zooplankton in Gulf of Mexico waters potentially affected by the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill (DWHOS) and in surrounding areas. This dataset includes larval fish (family: Paralepididae) diet and stable isotope data from samples collected on NRDA plankton and NRDA Nekton surveys, 2010-2011.

Scientists of the ACCRETE (Acidification, Climate, and Coral Reef Ecosystems Team) Lab of AOML’s Ocean Chemistry and Ecosystems Division (OCED) constructed a tool to monitor ocean acidification over the eastern US coast. This tool utilizes satellite data and a data-assimilative hybrid model to map the components of the carbonate system of surface water. The variables provided in this dataset include partial pressure of carbon dioxide for seawater (pCO2sw), total alkalinity (TA), pH, aragonite saturation state, and calcite saturation state.

The OceansAlaska Shellfish Hatchery in Ketchikan, is a floating barge that has been a site for high-resolution measurement of surface seawater CO2 content since August 2016. Measurements of in situ temperature, salinity, and CO2 partial pressure are made near-continuously from a seawater sample line with an intake depth of 4.3 m.

This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from M/S New Century 2 in the North Pacific Ocean, Caribbean Sea, North Atlantic Ocean from 2021-01-12 to 2022-01-31. These data include absolute humidity, air temperature, air-sea difference - partial pressure of carbon dioxide, barometric pressure, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - atmosphere, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - water, relative humidity, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and wind direction and speed.

This dataset includes surface underway data collected during USCGC Healy Expeditions in the North Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, Chukchi Sea, Beaufort Sea, Arctic Ocean, Davis Strait, Labrador Sea and North Atlantic Ocean from 2021-07-15 to 2021-10-19. These data include barometric pressure, partial pressure carbon dioxide (pCO2) - water, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and barometric pressure.

This dataset includes surface underway data collected from R/V Keifu Maru II in the Pacific Ocean, East China Sea and Sea of Japan, from 2021-01-08 to 2021-10-28. These data include barometric pressure, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - atmosphere, partial pressure of carbon dioxide - water, sea surface salinity and sea surface temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include carbon dioxide (CO2) gas analyzer, shower head chamber equilibrator for autonomous carbon dioxide (CO2) measurement.

The data described here result from coral bleaching surveys across the Hawaiian Archipelago from October 02 to November 18, 2015. The data provide survey-level information on percent live coral cover and the percentages of coral unbleached, partially, and fully bleached. The data were collected during a multi-institutional effort by the Hawaii Coral Bleaching Collaborative (HCBC) to build a comprehensive dataset of the spatial extent and severity of bleaching in the Hawaiian Archipelago during the peak of the forecasted 2015 coral bleaching event.

The Hawaii DLNR (Department of Land and Natural Resources) DAR (Division of Aquatic Resources) Kona team conducted coral bleaching surveys in collaboration with NOAA monitoring team at select sites in West Hawaii in 2019. A visual assessment of 10 x10 meter areas was performed to record live coral cover, common coral species, and percentage of bleaching occurring on live coral.

Among others, this dataset contains water temperature and salinity taken by CTD, ADCP currents, underway thermosalinograph data, and bathymetry. Meteorological and oceanographic observations were made in the North Pacific Ocean, Bering Sea, and Arctic Ocean on board the research vessel Mirai from 28 September 2019 to 10 November 2019 as part of the Arctic Challenge for Sustainability (ArCS) project.
