This dataset contains probabilistic (return-period based) flood maps from storm surge, tide and waves. The maps were produced by the Joint Probability Method with Optimal Spacing (JPM-OS) statistical procedure using the model data produced by a coupled CH3D/SWAN storm surge modeling system. The maps correspond to a 1% annual probability of exceedance (100-year return period). Sea level rise (SLR) conditions are based on NOAA predictions for Naples, FL. The SLR for 2020 is set to be at 0.32 ft. All SLR values are relative to the year 2000.

This dataset includes surface underway measurements of partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in water and atmosphere, sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity and barometric pressure collected during the R/V Kronprins Haakon cruise in the South Atlantic Ocean, Southern Ocean and Drake Passage from 2019-01-12 to 2019-02-22. A General Oceanics (GO) pCO2 system (model 8050) was used for pCO2 measurements. The system is described in detail in Pierrot (2009). Surface water is pumped continuously from the intake to the equilibrator.

This dataset contains water temperature, salinity, and others from the research vessel Araon. In the Bering Sea, hydrographic data were collected by XCTD/CTD/ADCP. The temperature, salinity, ocean current data are in a form of vertical profiles from the sea surface to bottom at each observation site. Super station buoy data contain ocean currents, temperature, and salinity. Data are in text and CSV formats. This dataset is U.S. State Department MSR U2021-009 as part of the World Data Service for Oceanography.

This dataset consists of surface underway ocean measurements of fugacity of carbon dioxide (fCO2), salinity, and sea surface temperature collected during R/V Thomas G. Thompson cruises in the South Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Southern Ocean from 2024-01-13 to 2024-04-19. The measurements were collected to evaluate the spatial distribution of air-sea CO2 flux. These measurements were collected with support from NOAA's Global Ocean Monitoring and Observing (GOMO) Program.

The ocean absorbs one quarter of the global CO2 emissions from human activity. The community-led Surface Ocean CO2 Atlas (www.socat.info) is key for the quantification of ocean CO2 uptake and its variation, now and in the future. SOCAT version 2025 has quality-controlled in situ surface ocean fCO2 (fugacity of CO2) measurements on ships, moorings, sailing yachts, autonomous and drifting surface platforms for the global ocean and coastal seas from 1957 to 2025.

This dataset contains the trajectory profile data from glider ru39 from one seasonal deployment (2024-02-15 to 2024-03-24). This deployment (glider trajectory ru39-20240215T1646) was part of a project to conduct a seasonal baseline survey with a pair of gliders deployed in each season over two years with a full complement of available sensors to simultaneously map oceanographic and ecological variables.

Drilling of the exploratory boreholes and installation of the monitoring well was completed by Anderson Environmental Contracting, LLC (AEC), using sonic drilling methods. An Aspect geologist was on-Site to observe the drilling and characterize the samples under the direction of a Washington State-licensed hydrogeologist (LHG). Aspect logged the borehole in general accordance with ASTM International (ASTM) Method D2488, Standard Practice for Description and Identification of Soils (Visual-Manual Procedure).

Microplastics abundance on marine turtle nesting beaches during 2018-08-04 to 2020-01-24 (NCEI Accession 0308031)

This study estimated the abundance of microplastics (i.e., plastics measuring less than 5mm) on marine turtle nesting beaches during 2018-08-04 to 2020-01-24. Samples were collected with metallic trowel. Sand samples were collected from 209 sites spanning six oceans and 39 countries by a global network of marine turtle scientists. Microplastics were extracted through stacked sieves, visually identified, and a sub-sample verified via Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy.

This dataset contains oceanographic images and videos collected by various iPhone and Android devices, a GoPro 10, Canon EOS 5D, and a Nikonos V camera; and videos collected by divers using a GoPro Hero 10 camera. The project resulted in the collection of baseline data to support monitoring and management of historic sites; developed and strengthened relationships among federal, state, and tribal heritage partners and other stakeholders; and enhanced our understanding about the first interactions between Indigenous communities and settlers in the Pacific Northwest.
