Profile and bottle data collected on the RV Melville (cruise Vancouver 06) from the Agulhas-South Atlantic Thermohaline Transport Experiment (ASTTEX) in the Atlantic Ocean from 20030102 to 20030115 (NCEI Accession 0074001)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Introduction:
The Agulhas-South Atlantic Thermohaline Experiment (ASTTEX) examined the fluxes of heat, salt and mass entering the South Atlantic ocean via the Agulhas Retroflection. The goal of the experiment was to provide a quantitative, multi-year Eulerian measurement of the strength and characteristic scales of Agulhas-South Atlantic mass and thermohaline fluxes, which contain a strong mesoscale component, resolving those fluxes on density horizons.

NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) orthorectified mosaic image tiles, New Hampshire, 2008 (NCEI Accession 0074094)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
These data are an Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) Product of coastal New Hampshire. The images were acquired from a nominal altitude of 5,000 feet above ground level (AGL), using an Applanix Digital Sensor System (DSS). Imagery products are true color (RGB) and infrared (IR) images. The IR images were acquired with a 850 nm cut on filter. Images have been orthorectified and mosaiced to produce a seamless data set. This imagery was acquired by the NOAA Remote Sensing Division to support NOAA's IOCM requirements. It is not intended for mapping, charting or navigation.

Chemical, physical, profile and laboratory analysis oceanographic data collected aboard the Brooks McCall in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-05-14 to 2010-05-18 in response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill event (NCEI Accession 0074372)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Chemical, physical, profile and laboratory analysis oceanographic data were collected aboard the Brooks McCall in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-05-14 to 2010-05-18 in response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill event on April 20, 2010, by the Subsurface Monitoring Unit (SMU), which consisted of multiple government and corporate agencies. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH), Volatile Organic Compounds and suspended solids.

NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) true color (RGB) orthorectified mosaic image tiles, Baton Rouge to LaPlace, Louisiana 2010 (NCEI Accession 0074374)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains ortho-rectified mosaic tiles, created as a product from the NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) initiative of the Mississippi River (Baton Rouge to LaPlace, the Louisiana shoreline, the Lake Charles area, and LaPlace to Venice). The true color images were acquired with an Applanix Digital Sensor System (DSS). The original images were acquired at a higher resolution than the final ortho-rectified mosaic.

Environmental toxicology data collected by the NOAA, National Ocean Service, National Centers For Coastal Ocean Science, National Status and Trends Program for monitoring contaminants in coastal United States marine water bodies from 01 Jan 1960 to 05 May 2010 (NCEI Accession 0074376)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The National Status and Trends Program is comprised of three nationwide programs: Benthic Surveillance, Mussel Watch, and Bioeffects. These programs are in place to observe estuarine and coastal waters nationwide to describe the current status and detect changes in the environmental quality using long-term, continuous monitoring. Special Studies is another program which assesses the environmental impacts of different events, such as Hurricane Katrina.
