NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) true color (RGB) orthorectified mosaic image tiles, Lake Charles, Louisiana 2009-2010 (NCEI Accession 0075827)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains ortho-rectified mosaic tiles, created as a product from the NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) initiative of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The source imagery was acquired on November 23, 2009 and March 12, 2010. The true color images were acquired with an Applanix Digital Sensor System (DSS). The ground sample distance (GSD) for each pixel is 0.35 m. The original images were acquired at a higher resolution than the final ortho-rectified mosaic.

NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) orthorectified mosaic image tiles, Terrebonne and Timbalier Bays Barrier Islands, Louisiana 2007-2008 (NCEI Accession 0075828)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
AERO-METRIC, INC. (AME) provided aerial photographic imagery collected by NOAA along the shoreline of Louisiana. The purpose of the imagery was to provide digital shoreline and orthophotos for NOAA nautical charts. The area covers the Barrier Islands of Terrebonne and Timbalier Bays on the coast of the State of Louisiana. The ground sample distance (GSD) for each pixel is 1.0 m. Ortho-rectified mosaic tiles are not intended for mapping, charting or navigation.
Additional ortho-mosaic imagery is filed under separate NODC accession numbers.

Northern elephant seal temperature cast data collected as part of the Tagging of Pacific Predators (TOPP) program from 2004-02-22 to 2011-01-25 (NCEI Accession 0077805)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset is a large collection of temperature casts recorded by fast-response archival time-depth recorder tags on northern elephant seals during their natural migrations. Only ascents (upcasts) were retained to ensure a similar format to traditional ship-based casts.
Each file represents data from a single instrument on one adult female elephant seal. Temperature and depth data were obtained from data logging tags manufactured by Wildlife Computers (MK9 or MK10). Temperature and depth values are uncorrected, raw instrument readings.

AVHRR Pathfinder version 5.0 global 4km sea surface temperature (SST) day-night monthly and yearly averages for 1985-2009 (NCEI Accession 0077816)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains a set of monthly and yearly global day-night sea surface temperature averages, derived from the AVHRR Pathfinder Version 5 sea surface temperature cloudscreened data set in GeoTIFF format. The AVHRR Pathfinder SST data sets provide the longest, most accurate, and highest resolution consistently-reprocessed SST climate data record from the AVHRR sensor series. These data files were produced to facilitate the utilization of high resolution Pathfinder v5.0 sea surface temperature data within geographic information system (GIS) software.
