Depth, salinity, temperature, and pH collected from CTD profiler equipped with a pH sensor and Niskin bottles from two stations in the northern end of Hood Canal in Puget Sound, Washington during the day and night from 2012-04-09 to 2012-06-16 (NCEI Accession 0259306)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains the discrete bottle (CTD profile) data of the pH environment experienced by Euphausia pacifica eggs and larvae at two station the northern end of Hood Canal in Puget Sound, Washington. The southwest station, P14, is deeper (180 m) than the northeastern station, P15 (130 m). Samples were collected during the day and night on 9−10 April and 15−16 June 2012. Physical and chemical data were collected using a CTD profiler equipped with a pH sensor (SBE 18, Sea-Bird Electronics) and Niskin bottles. This design was chosen to sample during the spawning season of E.

Benthic Surveys in Faga'alu, American Samoa: benthic images collected during belt transect surveys in 2020 (NCEI Accession 0259389)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The benthic images provided here are part of the CRCP-funded project aimed at establishing baseline Rapid Ecological Assessment (REA) surveys for coral reef benthic cover and composition at Faga'alu Bay, Tutuila, American Samoa. In 2020, the survey implemented a one -stage stratified random sampling (StRS) design to assess the Faga'alu benthic coral reef community. The survey domain encompassed the majority of the mapped area of reef and hard bottom habitats in the 0–30 m depth range.

Water temperature, salinity, and others taken by CTD from research vessel KE XUE in Northern Mariana trough from 2020-03-31 to 2020-04-30 (NCEI Accession 0259390)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains physical oceanography data (water temperature, salinity, and others) taken by deep CTD from research vessel KE XUE in Northern Mariana trough. The original dataset also contained geophysical survey data, including seafloor topography and magnetic fields, archived at the NOAA/NCEI Colorado (see Documentation in the landing page).

Global surface ocean acidification indicators from 1750 to 2100 (NCEI Accession 0259391)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data package contains a hybrid surface OA data product that is produced based on three recent observational data products: (a) the Surface Ocean CO2 Atlas (SOCAT, version 2022), (b) the Global Ocean Data Analysis Product version 2 (GLODAPv2, version 2022), and (c) the Coastal Ocean Data Analysis Product in North America (CODAP-NA, version 2021), and 14 Earth System Models from the sixth phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6).

Database of Grazing Metrics of Herbivorous Fishes of the Indo-Pacific (NCEI Accession 0259399)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The database described here consists of foraging metrics of herbivorous fishes (bite rate, bite area, bite volume, proportion of bites that leave grazing scars) extracted from relevant publications. All data were already publicly available either in the form of information reported in a publication or data were shared publicly via data repositories. Observations included in the database took place between 1985 and 2019 in tropical waters excluding locations in the Atlantic Ocean. Focal fish species were herbivores that are found in the nearshore waters of the United States Pacific Islands.

Observations of larval snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio) survival and conditions in laboratory experiments for the Physiological Response of Commercially Important Crab Species to Predicted Increases in pCO2 Project in Kodiak, Alaska from 2015-04-20 to 2016-06-13 (NCEI Accession 0259404)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
In this study, we examined how CO2-driven acidification affected larval survival and condition in snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio), an important fishery species in Alaska. Ovigerous females were held in one of three treatments: ambient pH (~8.1), pH 7.8, and pH 7.5, through two annual reproductive cycles.

Observations of embryo development and larval hatching of snow crabs (Chionoecetes opilio) collected in laboratory experiments for the Physiological Response of Commercially Important Crab Species to Predicted Increases in pCO2 Project in Kodiak, Alaska from 2014-08-06 to 2016-06-16 (NCEI Accession 0259411)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
In this study, we examined how CO2-driven acidification affected the embyro development and hatching of snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio), an important fishery species in Alaska. Ovigerous females were held in one of three treatments: ambient pH (~8.1), pH 7.8, and pH 7.5, through two annual reproductive cycles. Morphometric changes during development and hatching success were measured for embryos both years and calcification was measured for the adult females at the end of the 2-year experiment.

NCCOS Mapping: Satellite derived bathymetry and benthic habitat mapping to support sea level rise models for the area surrounding Roi-Namur Island, Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands (NCEI Accession 0259452)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Satellite Derived Bathymetry (SDB), benthic habitat, and hydrodynamic friction maps were generated for a study area surrounding Roi-Namur Island, part of the Kwajalein Atoll of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The SDB and habitat maps were generated from WorldView-2 and -3 satellite imagery. These layers were needed as part of a larger effort to model the impacts of sea-level rise and inundation on Department of Defense installations on atolls in the Pacific Ocean.

GEFSv12 North Atlantic Oscillation Indices (NCEI Accession 0259492)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) index characterizes the primary mode of atmospheric circulation variability over the North Atlantic region. This dataset provides NAO indices computed from the Global Ensemble Forecast System version 12 (GEFSv12) reanalysis and subseasonal reforecast datasets. These indices are defined from Empirical Orthogonal Function analysis of 500 millibar geopotential height fields in the region of 20-90N latitude, and 90W-40E longitude. For the GEFSv12 reanalysis, these indices are provided once daily for all dates from 2000-2019.
