2003-2005 South Carolina Oyster Mapping Orthoimagery

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Data set contains digital orthophotography. The digital orthophotos in this series have a theoretical ground resolution of 0.25 meter. The digital orthophotos are 4-band in nature (red, green, blue, near infrared) and are delivered as flown in four-band .img file format. The four-band imagery is delivered in mosaics equaling one eighth of a DOQ. The data set presents information that represents current conditions for the specified DOQQ regions of interest as specified by PhotoScience Task No. 01012C0053 for coastal areas of South Carolina.

Coastal Bend Texas Benthic Habitat Mapping Reprocessed DOQQ Aerial Imagery

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

In 2006 and 2007 the NOAA Office for Coastal Management purchased services to reprocess existing digital multi-spectral imagery (ADS-40) and create digital benthic habitat data from this imagery for selected Texas coastal bend bays. The Center worked cooperatively with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and the Texas A and M University Center for Coastal Studies to develop benthic habitat data, primarily Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) for several coastal bays.

2017 Grand Bay NERR UAS 4-band Imagery

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Data was gathered by use of VIS and BGNIR UAV sensors. UAV flight altitude is at least 100m and covers an area of 0.91 km2. Data was collected between May 9, 2017 and May 11, 2017 from the Grand Bay NERR site in Mississippi, A 4-Band raster image then was produced after consolidating data.
Data was acquired by contract from NOAA to Quantum Spatial with a subcontract to PrecisionHawk. Specifications were for 4-band imagery at 3 cm resolution from an unmanned aerial system (UAS).

2013 Coastal Georgia 4-Band 8 Bit Imagery

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This data set consists of half-foot pixel resolution, natural color orthoimages covering the urban area footprint. An orthoimage is remotely sensed image data in which displacement of features in the image caused by terrain relief and sensor orientation have been mathematically removed. Orthoimagery combines the image characteristics of a photograph with the geometric qualities of a map. Each orthoimage provides imagery over a 5000-foot by 5000-foot block on the ground. There is no image overlap between adjacent files.

2002 Long Island, New York, Orthophotography

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Data set contains orthophotos of an area over Long Island, NY. 100 images were orthorectified with USGS 10m Digital Elevation Models, and then mosaicked and output to 1,541 1000m by 1000m geotiff tiles with a pixel resolution of 0.5 meters.

2015 Hawaii SE Island UAS Orthomosaic

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This imagery was captured September 20, 2015 for the Hawaiian Monk Seal Research Program. Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) are being tested to assess their effectiveness for capturing images of seals and other wildlife. In addition to single photographs, an orthomosaic of Southeast Island was created as part of a mapping exercise over the island using an APH-22 hexacopter. The mosaic output is a GeoTIFF in WGS84 UTM Zone 1N.

2002/2003 IfSAR data for Southern California: Radar Reflectance Image

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This metadata document describes the collection and processing of topographic elevation point data derived from Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IfSAR) measurement for coastal Southern California. Collection consists of topographic elevations from the California counties of Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego, and the hydrologic units within those counties that drain to the Pacific Ocean along with offshore islands within the Channel Islands.
