Dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH on total scale, and other variables collected from discrete samples and profile observations during the R/V F. G. Walton Smith cruise WS22022 (EXPOCODE 33WA20220122) in the North Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico from 2022-01-22 to 2022-01-28 (NCEI Accession 0275994)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset includes the discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH on total scale, ammonia, water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and nutrients during the R/V F. G. Walton Smith cruise WS22022 (EXPOCODE 33WA20220122) in the Southeast U.S. Shelf, Gulf of Mexico from 2022-01-22 to 2022-01-28. Increasing amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide from human industrial activities are causing changes in global ocean carbon chemistry resulting in a reduction in pH, a process termed ocean acidification.

Dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, nutrients, and other variables collected from profile and discrete observations during NOAA Ship Henry B. Bigelow cruise HB2204 (EXPOCODE 33HH20220531) in Gulf of Maine, Georges Bank, and Mid-Atlantic Bight from 2022-05-31 to 2022-06-15 (NCEI Accession 0276023)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains profile discrete measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH on total scale, water temperature, salinity, nutrients, and oxygen collected during the NOAA Ship Henry B. Bigelow cruise HB2204 (EXPOCODE 33HH20220531) in Gulf of Maine, Georges Bank, and Mid-Atlantic Bight from 2022-05-31 to 2022-06-15. Increasing amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide from human industrial activities are causing changes in global ocean carbon chemistry ultimately resulting in a reduction in pH, a process termed ocean acidification.

Laboratory carbon dioxide exposure experiments measuring scope for growth for juvenile Atlantic sea scallops (Placopecten magellanicus) from 2019-10-23 to 2019-12-19 (NCEI Accession 0276024)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains the biological response for Atlantic sea scallops (Placopecten magellanicus) exposed to three different levels of carbon dioxide enrichment (low, medium, high). The experiment took place from October 23, 2019 to December 19, 2019 (8 weeks). Salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, dissolved inorganic carbon, pH, chlorophyll-a, and seston counts are reported for the seawater during the 8 week exposure.

Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) sea surface and atmospheric fCO2 measurements in the Southern Ocean, South Pacific, Indian Ocean onboard R/V Investigator in 2022 (NCEI Accession 0276052)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from R/V Investigator in the Southern Ocean, South Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean in 2022. These data include partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in water and air, sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity, barometric pressure, wind direction and wind speed. The instruments used to collect these data include barometric pressure sensor and carbon dioxide (CO2) gas analyzer.

Continuous, underwater profiles of ultraviolet (UV), PAR irradiance, and temperature observations with surface reference measurements collected from R/V LAURENTIAN and other small boats in the Lakes Michigan and Huron in the Great Lakes region from 2012-09-27 to 2021-09-16 (NCEI Accession 0276075)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) samples and studies the ecosystem of the lower food web of the Laurentian Great Lakes. This collection contains continuous, underwater ultraviolet (UV), PAR and temperature profiles at 26 stations during the open water seasons in Lakes Michigan and Huron from 2012 to 2021. The measurements were collected using a Biospherical Instruments Inc. PUV-2500 submersible, multichannel, profiling, ultraviolet radiometer and PUV2510 reference radiometer attached to the ship during profile collection.
