AFSC/RACE/FBEP/Ryer: Growth and distributional correlates of behavior in three co-occurring juvenile flatfishes
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset is from laboratory experiments that explored anti-predator behavior and intrinsic growth in three co-occurring juvenile flatfish species (English sole Parophrys vetulus, Pacific halibut Hippoglossus stenolepis and northern rock sole Lepidopsetta polyxystra), and field surveys of juveniles of these three species in a nursery embayment at Kodiak Island.

AFSC/RACE/FBEP/Laurel: The effects of temperature on growth, development and settlement of northern rock sole larvae (Lepidopsetta polyxystra)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset is from an experiment where northern rock sole larvae were reared in the laboratory to measure growth, condition, development and settlement parameters across four temperatures (2, 4, 7 and 10C).

Northeast Economic Add-On Data 1999
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Revealed preference models provide insights into recreational angler behavior and the economic value of recreational fishing trips. This data is for the Northeast and is collected as needed, at irregular intervals. Typically collected as an economic add-on to the MRIP intercept survey and follow up phone or mail survey.

Northeast Economic Add-On Data 1994
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Revealed preference models provide insights into recreational angler behavior and the economic value of recreational fishing trips. Revealed preference data is typically collected by intercept and/or phone follow up calls. Typical variables include length of the trip (day or overnight), household income, whether or not angler took time off of work, and primary purpose of overall trip. Sometimes trip expenditures are included as well.

AFSC/RACE/GAP/Rooper: Acoustic assessment of rockfish in untrawlable areas
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The core function of the Resource Assessment and Conservation Engineering (RACE) Division is to conduct quantitative fishery surveys and related ecological and oceanographic research to measure and describe the distribution and abundance of commercially important fish and crab stocks in the eastern Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and Gulf of Alaska. This includes measuring the abundance of fish (including rockfishes) in rocky untrawlable areas. To accomplish this, we are developing acoustic-optic surveys for rockfishes. These data area stored as image files and acoustics files.

AFSC/RACE/GAP/Rooper: Deep sea coral and sponge distribution
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
As part of a series of ongoing research projects, the AFSC has been mapping and modeling the distribution of deep-sea coral and sponge communities throughout Alaska. A comprehensive stereo video camera survey has been undertaken as part of this project to verify model predictions of the locations of corals and sponges. Additionally, density and height information as well as species associations have been documented in the underwater camera survey.
