AFSC/RACE/GAP/McConnaughey: Trawlex Chronic Effects: Side Scan Sonar Mosaic - NE corner of CHPZ1.
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Side-scan sonar images were collected using a Klein 2000 system and a 100/500-kHz towed ?sh that also contained a 3.5-kHz pro?ler source. A shipboard fathometer re- cording system was inoperable during the survey. The side-scan data were recorded digitally at a 10-kHz sample rate over a swath width of 100 m. Six swaths of 100-kHz data were anamorphosed, filtered, overlaid and projected to produce a spatially correct, georeferenced image of the seafloor with pixel resolution of 80 cm.

AFSC/RACE/GAP/McConnaughey: Trawlex Chronic Effects: Trawlex (1996) Macrofauna CPUE (count/hectare)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The eastern Bering Sea has experienced rapid and intensive development of commercial trawl fisheries. Because of good record keeping and the relatively brief history of fishing it is possible to reconstruct the spatial and temporal patterns of exploitation. Previously unfished (UF) areas can be identified and directly compared with heavily fished (HF) areas to investigate long-term consequences for the benthos. Using this approach, macrofauna populations in a shallow (48 m average) soft-bottom area were studied during 1996.

Alaska Phocid Table of Wild Captures and Specimens Collected
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Polar Ecosystems Program research projects focus primarily on abundance, trends, distribution, health and condition, and foraging behavior of phocids (harbor, bearded, ringed, spotted, and ribbon seals) in Alaska. This database represents data associated with live captures and specimen collection of all these species across a variety of research projects. Data include information such as capture date, location, time, and handling time, as well as information about each animal (e.g., age, sex, molt, pregnancy status, pelage type).

Steller sea lion satellite telemetry data used to determine at-sea distribution in the western-central Aleutian Islands, 2000-2013
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset was used for an analysis of the at-sea distribution of Steller sea lions in the western-central Aleutian Islands, Alaska. This analysis was prepared to support the 2014 Section 7 Biological Opinion evaluating effects of commercial groundfish fisheries on Steller sea lion populations.

Resource Assessment Investigation of the Mariana Archipelago (RAIOMA) Feature Service
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data service represents a subset of fisheries research carried out by the Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) in the Mariana Archipelago. Specific datasets included are from the Resource Assessment Investigation of the Mariana Archipelago (RAIOMA) from 1980-1985. Data types included in this REST service include bottomfish fishing transects and shrimp trap deployment locations, catch tables containing records for each of the locations/transects, and summary level products such as catch per unit effort (CPUE) and Total Yield.

golden crabbers focus group transcript
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (SAFMC) considered (but ultimately rejected) instituting a golden crab individual transferable quota (ITQ) program in 2013. In preparation for that proposal, a group interview was conducted in Ft Lauderdale on February 6th, 2012. The interview was transcribed and is currently a PDF.
Topics included a history of the golden crab fishery and Council management. Information from this interview is included in this article

DOMESTIC LONGLINE OBSERVER DOMLL
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains data that were collected by trained observers aboard domestic pelagic longline vessels operating in the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic. Observers collected information on the catch, bycatch, and fishing effort details of these fishing operations.

golden crabbers cost data
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (SAFMC) considered (but ultimately rejected) instituting a golden crab individual transferable quota (ITQ) program in 2013. In preparation for that proposal, 2010 cost data was collected in fiscal year 2011 via a mail survey. The population included all holders of a limited access golden crab permit (seven individuals owning 11 permits at the time of survey). Because the population is so small, a census was necessary. Questions on per-trip and fixed cost estimates were included.
