This dataset comprises mangrove data extracted from benthic habitat GIS maps in the Texas Bend Coastal Bays as identified from aerial imagery. The imagery was acquired in 2004 and analysis and classification was performed from 2006 to 2008. The mangrove classes were extracted from the benthic habitat data for each bay and combined into one Esri shapefile (TXCB2004_Mangroves_merge.shp).
