The Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Database (NAS) information resource is an established central repository for spatially referenced biogeographic accounts of introduced aquatic species. The NAS website provides scientific reports, online/real-time queries, spatial data sets, distribution maps, fact sheets, and general information.

This dataset shows the estimated delivered nitrogen load from all sources (livestock manure from confined operations, livestock manure from pasture feeding, livestock manure from feedlots, fertilizer applied to crops, runoff from urban land, combined municipal and wastewater discharge, and from atmospheric deposition)into the estuaries, bays, and sounds along the U.S. Gulf of Mexico coast in 2002.

This is a compilation of diverse data sets, describing the nature of seabed materials. The data is in the form of griddings, rendered as polygons as Shapefiles.

This GIS dataset (US_MX_GOM_portstats.shp) contains annual trade statistics from 2005 to 2012 for US and MX ports in the Gulf of Mexico. Tonnage summaries for US ports include imports, exports, total foreign trade, total domestic trade, and total trade (foreign and domestic). Summaries for MX ports also include entries and outputs for domestic trade.

This datset was extracted from the World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA) geodatabase, a joint project between the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Union for the Coservation of Nature (IUCN). The GIS database lists each site by name and includes management desginations and status.

Summarized data set of brown shrimp catch by subarea and depth from 2001 to present

These images were created by combining the mean euphotic depth estimates to produce seasonal representations for winter, spring, summer and fall. Winter includes the months of January, February and March; spring includes the months of April, May and June; summer includes the months of July, August and September; fall includes the months of October, November and December. Euphotic depth estimates were originally obtained from the Naval Research Laboratory at the Stennis Space Center (NRL/SSC).

This regional Gulf of Mexico dataset includes the following from the Harris et al., 2014 global seafloor geomorphic features map: base layers (shelf, slope, abyss, hadal layers), shelf classification (mountains, hills, plains classes), abyssal classification (high, medium. low classes), and the escarpments, basins, canyons, seamounts, bridges, sills, shelf valleys, rift valleys, ridges, spreading ridges, fans, rises, terraces, trenches, and plateaus layers.
