Data set containing information collected from the 1000+ fin clips collected by Hawaii & American Samoa Longline Observers that will be used to analyze the distribution of Lampris species throughout the central North and South Pacific Ocean.

In order to determine variations in distribution of the newly discovered Lampris spp., numerous research institutions, observer programs, and museums were contacted in an attempt to collect viable tissue samples available for genetic analysis. This project investigates foraging behavior of Hawaiian monk seals by conducting telemetry studies.
