Rugosity Grid Derived from Gridded Bathymetry for Select U.S. Coral Reef Locations across the Pacific Ocean
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Rugosity is derived for islands and banks across the U.S. Pacific Islands Region primarily from gridded multibeam bathymetry collected aboard NOAA Ships Hi'ialakai and Oscar Elton Sette, and aboard R/V AHI (Acoustic Habitat Investigator) from 2003 to 2012 by the PIFSC Ecosystem Sciences Division (ESD). Other sources of available data used to derive rugosity for a few locations include estimated depths derived from IKONOS satellite imagery from 2000 to 2002, LIDAR data from 2001 and 2007, and multibeam bathymetry collected in 2001 and 2002.

Bathymetric Position Index (BPI) Zones Grid Derived from Gridded Bathymetry for Select U.S. Coral Reef Locations across the Pacific Ocean
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Bathymetric Position Index (BPI) Zones are derived for islands and banks across the U.S. Pacific Islands Region from a focal mean analysis on bathymetry and slope, and were created using the Benthic Terrain Modeler. Cell values represent one of 4 classes (crest, depression, flat, slope) in an index of seafloor terrains.

Bathymetric Position Index (BPI) Structures Grid Derived from Gridded Bathymetry for Select U.S. Coral Reef Locations across the Pacific Ocean
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Bathymetric Position Index (BPI) Structures are derived for islands and banks across the U.S. Pacific Islands Region from a focal mean analysis on bathymetry and slope, and were created using the Benthic Terrain Modeler. Cell values represent one of 13 classes in an index of seafloor terrains.

Hard and Soft Bottom Seafloor Substrate Map Derived from an Unsupervised Classification of Gridded Bathymetry Derivatives for the NOAA Habitat Blueprint West Hawaii Focus Area
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Hard and soft bottom seafloor substrate data and maps for the NOAA Habitat Blueprint West Hawaii Focus Area (WHFA) in the Main Hawaiian Islands. Cell values in the raster datasets reflect whether the seafloor is hard bottom or soft bottom based on an unsupervised classification run using ArcGIS software with the Spatial Analyst extension. The classifications are based on bathymetry, acoustic derivatives and verified using seafloor optical data.

AFSC/REFM: Groundfish SAFE Economic Report
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Groundfish SAFE Economic Report, published annually as a supplement to the Stock Assessment and Fishery Evaluation Reports for Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands and Gulf of Alaska groundfish, summarizes economic information about the federal groundfish fisheries off Alaska. The Economic Report includes a core set of tables summarizing catch, discards and bycatch; ex-vessel value and price; wholesale production, value, and price; fishery participation by small entities; and fishing effort.

AFSC/RACE/EcoFOCI: NPRB project number 926: Assessing the condition of walleye pollock, Theragra chalcogramma, larvae in the eastern Bering Sea with muscle-based flow cytometry cell cycle analysis
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Walleye pollock are an important component of the eastern Bering Sea ecosystem due to their vast numbers and biomass and are of great commercial importance. Their recruitment in the eastern Bering Sea is not well understood but it is largely determined during the first year, so the larval stage may play a significant role. Starvation may contribute to the high and variable mortality that occurs during the larval stage so it is important to monitor and quantify it. This metadata describes data from laboratory and field studies conducted from 2009 to 2012 for NPRB project 926.

OW ASCAT Ocean Surface Winds
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Advanced Scatterometer (ASCAT) sensor onboard the EUMETSAT MetOp polar-orbiting satellite provides ocean surface wind observations by means of radar scatterometry. The data is available as 1-day composites with global coverage at 0.25 degrees (approximately 25 km/pix). Total wind speed, as well as zonal and meridional wind speed information is available since 2013-06-26 through the present.
