Monthly and annual mean seawater temperature, salinity and density from 26 tide gauge sites during 1855-1993 (NCEI Accession 0000817)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Tidal observers at primary tide gauges of the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey (now the NOAA National Ocean Service) routinely measured seawater temperature and density throughout most of the 20th century with select sites well before. All available records for 26 sites have been digitized, although more paper file records may still exist for others. Students at Florida Institute of Technology provided the key entry and quality control.

Broward County Florida thermographic data collected at 12 locations along 4 eastward lines that cross 3 offshore reef tracks during the time period 2000-07-01 to 2002-11-30 using self-recording temperature gauges (NCEI Accession 0000829)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Broward County Florida has responsibility for the resource management of coral reefs in marine waters adjacent to Broward County. The Department of Planning and Environmental Protection is assigned the duties of monitoring the health of the coral reefs. Environmental stresses are a limiting factor in the biomass and diversity, and maintaining these populations of coral species requires an understanding of the environmental factors. One of these factors is the water temperature.

Physical, chemical, and nutrient data collected as part of the AMERIEZ program in the Weddell Sea aboard R/V MELVILLE from 1986-03-08 to 1986-03-27 (NCEI Accession 0000844)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains temperature, pressure/depth, and multiple nutrients values from bottle casts and CTD casts in the Weddell Sea from the R/V MELVILLE during the March 1986 field season. This cruise was funded by the US National Science Foundation as one of several projects funded under the Antarctic Marine Ecosystem Research at the Ice Edge Zone (AMERIEZ) program.
