Grain size distribution and fate of transplanted corals at Kawaihae, Hawaii: field work of 1996 - 1997 (NCEI Accession 0001141)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

A harbor expansion was planned in the early 1990s for Kawaihae, Hawaii on the northwest shore of the Big Island. To offset the habitat loss, select corals were transplanted. This study looked at the effects of sedimentation on the transplanted and non-transplanted corals of this high wave region. Eight experimental transplant station were set up, each with four sediment traps.

Salinity, temperature and depth profiles data taken by CTDs in the North Atlantic (NCEI Accession 0001144)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This dataset contains 7576 Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) profiles from 46 oceanographic cruises, along with their associated documentation.

All data and documentation files are in ASCII format. Document figures are in JPEG format.

The directory structure is split into two master directories, one for data and one for documentation.

Each master directory then consists of a series of sub-directories, one for each cruise.

United States JGOFS Process Study Data 1989-1998, CD-ROM volume 1, version 2: biological, physical, and other data from the Arabian Sea, Equatorial Pacific Ocean, Northeast Atlantic Ocean, and Southern Oceans (NCEI Accession 0001155)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Biological, physical, nutrients, sediment, and other data were collected using sediment sampler-grab, bottle and CTD casts in the Arabian Sea, North/South Pacific Ocean, and North Atlantic Ocean from 08 January 1995 to 08 April 1998. Data were submitted by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) project. Biological data include detailed information on phytoplankton and zooplankton. Nutrients data includes nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, and silicate.
