Marine alien and/or invasive algae species surveys, Hawaii state-wide in 2000 and Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii during 2000-2002 (NCEI Accession 0001007)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Baseline surveys were conducted at numerous sites around each island, including those identified as "hotspots" by the Department of Aquatic Resources, around the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Oahu and Kauai. A total of 72 sites with 13 in Kaneohe Bay, Oahu alone. Alien and/or invasive algal abundance were ranked on a scale of 0 to 10 (0=0% cover, 10=100% cover) and includes habitat type (e.g., sand, lava bench, coral, rock, artificial substrate) and pertinent environmental correlates (e.g., depth, proximity to shore) at each site where invasive species are encountered.

Oceanographic profile chlorophyll, nutrients and other measurements collected using surface seawater intake from the Caribbean, Pacific and Atlantic Ocean from 1999 - 2002 (NCEI Accession 0001009)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

A set of phytoplankton pigment measurements collected on eight quarterly transects from France to New Caledonia is analyzed in order to identify the main assemblages of phytoplankton and to relate their occurrence to oceanic conditions.

Moored current meter data collected from the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, and North Pacific Ocean in support of the Fisheries-Oceanography Coordinated Investigations (FOCI) project, from 1994-02-16 to 2002-05-25 (NCEI Accession 0001014)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Moored current meter data were collected from the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska, and North Pacific Ocean from February 16, 1994 to May 25, 2002. Data were collected by the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) as part as part of the Fisheries-Oceanography Coordinated Investigations (FOCI). Current meter parameters include East/West velocity components (U), North/South velocity component (V), current speed, current direction, salinity, pressure, conductivity, and temperature. Data are not in standard formats and are self documenting.

Oceanographic profile temperature, salinity, oxygen and other measurements collected using bottle in the North Pacific Ocean from 1988 to 2003 (NCEI Accession 0001016)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Cruises are made to the HOT deep water station approximately once a month, and are denoted as HOT-n, where n is the sequential cruise number. HOT-1 was in October 1988.

Station inventories are given in files with the extension "sum" (e.g., HOT-1 is summarized in hot1.sum).

Station inventories from the ALOHA-Climax (AC) cruises are summarized in files with the prefix ac (e.g., AC-1 is summarized in ac1.sum).
