The Coral Reef Temperature Anomaly Database (CoRTAD) Version 2 - Global, 4 km Sea Surface Temperature and Related Thermal Stress Metrics for 1982-2008 (NCEI Accession 0054501)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Coral Reef Temperature Anomaly Database (CoRTAD) is a collection of sea surface temperature (SST) and related thermal stress metrics, developed specifically for coral reef ecosystem applications but relevant to other ecosystems as well. The CoRTAD Version 2 contains global, approximately 4 km resolution SST data on a weekly time scale from 1982 through 2008. It is related to the CoRTAD Version 1 (NCEI Accession 0044419), with a few important differences.

Physical profile data and meteorological data collected from moored buoys in the Northwest Gulf of Mexico from 2004-03-20 to 2005-07-03 (NCEI Accession 0055092)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Minerals Management Service (MMS) awarded a contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to conduct a study titled: Survey of Deepwater Currents in the Northwestern Gulf of Mexico (often referred to as the NW Gulf Study). The timing and general area of investigation extends the focus of a series of preliminary studies that as a group will provide a basis for effective design and implementation of comprehensive ocean investigations having a goal of in-depth understanding and characterization of Gulf of Mexico (GOM) circulation and dynamics.

Non-directional wave gauge data taken by the U.S. Geological Survey in nearshore waters south of Molokai, Hawaii during 2001 - 2002 (NCEI Accession 0011265)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Western Region Coastal and Marine Geology Team deployed six NIWA Dobie-A non-directional wave gauges at five nearshore stations south of Molokai, Hawaii in depths from 4 to 13 meters during February 2001 - February 2002. The USGS team collected hourly significant wave height and dominant wave period data with the gauges and they provided the data in an ASCII format.

Submarine groundwater discharge at Kahana Bay, Oahu, 1997-2001: in situ CTD and water chemistry tracer data (NCEI Accession 0011399)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) is neither well understood nor commonly investigated in Hawaii, but it is recognized as a potential pollution source to coastal environments. Between 1997 and 2001, this study located and quantified both total SGD and the terrestrial SGD fraction in Kahana Bay, Oahu. CTD casts were used to profile the water structure and identify potential areas of SGD impact in the bay. Lee-type seepage meters were used to measure SGD rates and collect samples of SGD directly.
