NODC Standard Product: Oceanographic station profile time series (NCEI Accession 0095191)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) and the World Data Center-A for Oceanography compiled from the NODC Oceanographic Station Data File a set of oceanographic data having repetitive samples along ocean sections or at fixed stations for long time periods. These oceanographic station time-series include temperature, salinity, density, and nutrient data.

NODC Standard Product: Sea level data (TOGA and PSMSL) through August 1994 (NCEI Accession 0095192)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The data on this CD-ROM are provided in two main directories. One directory contains Tropical Ocean-Global Atmosphere (TOGA) project sea level data, file formats, and associated documentation. The other main directory contains the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL) data, documentation, and a few related datasets.

NODC Standard Product: NOAA Marine Environmental Buoy Database 1993 with Updates (22 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0095199)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This set of CD-ROMs holds the NOAA Marine Environmental Buoy Database 1993, containing marine meteorological, oceanographic, and wave spectra data collected by moored buoys and C-MAN (Coastal-Marine Automated Network) stations operated by the NOAA National Data Buoy Center (NDBC). C-MAN stations are located at coastal and near-shore sites on piers, offshore towers, lighthouses, and beaches. The NDBC buoys began reporting in the early 1970s and the NODC archive holds data from February 1970.

NODC Standard Product: World Ocean Database 1998 version 1 (5 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0095340)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The World Ocean Database 1998 (WOD98) is comprised of five CD-ROMs containing profile and plankton/biomass data in compressed format. WOD98-01 through WOD98-04 contain observed level data, WOD98-05 contains all the standard level data.
World Ocean Database 1998 (WOD98) expands on World Ocean Atlas 1994 (WOA94) by including the additional variables nitrite, pH, alkalinity, chlorophyll, and plankton, as well as all available metadata and meteorology. WOD98 is an International Year of the Ocean product.

Chemical and benthos data collected from CTD, bottle, and other instruments in the Chukchi Sea in 2009-2010 as part of the Chukchi Sea Offshore Monitoring in Drilling Area - Chemical and Benthos (COMIDA-CAB) project (NCEI Accession 0095566)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains physical, chemical, and biological data collected during research cruises for the Chukchi Sea Offshore Monitoring in Drilling Area (Chemical and Benthos) (COMIDA CAB) project. The study occurred at 65 stations in the Chukchi Sea in July and August of 2009 and 2010, and involved sensor measurements and sampling of water, sediment, and biota conducted by investigators from several universities and research organizations. The dataset includes more than 36,000 data values across 150+ variables, 500+ taxonomic names, and 100+ collection and analysis methods.

NODC Standard Product: World Ocean Atlas 2001 (6 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0095600)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The World Ocean Atlas 2001 (WOA01) Series consists of two sets of products. The first set of products consists of three DATA CD-ROMs containing global data statistics at standard depth levels by one-degree and five-degree squares of several commonly measured ocean variables, as well as objectively analyzed fields (on a one-degree grid) of these variables. These products are in ASCII format.

NODC Standard Product: Naval Surface Weapons Center (NSWC) moored ADCP data 1994-1995 (Straits of Florida) (NCEI Accession 0095602)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This database contains Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected during 1994-1995 on the eastern shelf of Florida. The data were collected at ten-minute intervals by a bottom mounted 300-KHz ADCP unit (from RD Instruments, San Diego, CA) which was set offshore Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, at a depth of 140 meters. The instrument is positioned at approximately 26°04.0'N by 80°03.5'W. This unit is supported by the United States Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), which receives data directly from the ADCP by way of a submerged cable.

Historical underway surface temperature data collected aboard the ship Skelton Castle on a voyage from England to India, 28 February 1800 to 3 June 1800 (NCEI Accession 0095925)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Underway surface air temperature and sea water temperature were collected aboard the Skelton Castle while in route from England to Bombay India as part of the East India Company during the dates 28 February 1800 to 3 June 1800. The data were prepared by one Mr. R. Perrins on behalf of Sir Anthony Carlisle as part of a study "to determine whether fishes possess any other temperature than that of the water in which they live."
A table containing the data was found in Nicholson's "Journal of Natural Philosophy", published in 1804.
