NODC Standard Product: World Ocean Atlas 2005 (4 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0097967)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The World Ocean Atlas 2005 (WOA05) contains data files of objectively analyzed climatologies and related statistical fields of temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, Apparent Oxygen Utilization (AOU), percent oxygen saturation, phosphate, nitrate, and silicate for the world ocean. The data are available in two different ASCII formats (native gridded format and comma separated value format) on the DVD.
The data used to generate these statistics are available on DVD as the World Ocean Database 2005 (WOD05).

NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) orthorectified mosaic image tiles for Western Lake Michigan, 2010 (NCEI Accession 0097969)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This data set contains color (RGB) ortho-rectified mosaic tiles, created as a product from the NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) initiative. The source imagery was acquired from 20100806 - 20100930. The images were acquired with an Applanix Digital Sensor System (DSS). Ortho-rectified mosaic tiles are an ancillary product of NOAA's Coastal Mapping Program (CMP), created through a wider Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping initiative to increase support for multiple uses of the data. The ground sample distance (GSD) for each pixel is 0.50 m.

NODC Standard Product: World Ocean Atlas 1994 (11 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0098057)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Observed and standard level profile data (along with quality control flags) used in the production of these atlases were made available in a World Ocean Atlas 1994 CD-ROM series (referred to herein as WOA94). In addition, the series contains the objectively analyzed one-degree latitude-longitude mean fields for each of the measured parameters, and two derived parameters (Apparent Oxygen Utilization and Oxygen Saturation), and five-degree square statistics of standard level values.

NODC Standard Product: Global ocean temperature and salinity profiles (2 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0098058)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This set of CD-ROMs contains global ocean temperature and salinity profiles derived from National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) archive data files. It includes oceanographic station (bottle) data, CTD/STD data, and mechanical and expendable bathythermograph data. The data span the period from 1900 to 1990. Disc 1 contains 1.62 million profiles from the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Disc 2 contains 1.57 million profiles from the Pacific Ocean. The data are in an ASCII format.

NODC Standard Product: Ocean current drifter data (2 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0098060)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
These CD-ROMs hold over 4 million surface current observations, almost all obtained by the ship drift method. Date, data source, position, and current direction and speed are recorded for each observation. With the exception of about 5,100 observations taken using the Geomagnetic Electrokinetograph (GEK), these are not instrument-measured current data. Rather, they are indirect determinations of ocean surface currents based on the ship drift method.

NODC Standard Product: Climatic atlas of the Arctic Seas 2004 - Database of the Barents, Kara, Laptev, and White Seas - Oceanography and marine biology (NCEI Accession 0098061)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This Atlas presents primary data on meteorology, oceanography, and hydrobiology from the Barents, Kara, Laptev, and White Seas, which were collected during the period 1810-2001. The electronic (DVD) version allows one to quantitatively access information for oceanographic variables as well as plankton, benthos, fish, sea birds, and marine mammals. The data is divided into one-degree squares with monthly climatic characteristics calculated for every square, which were used to plot monthly climatological charts of temperature and salinity.

Photosynthetically active and ultraviolet radiation at SEAKEYS station Molasses Reef (MLRF) in the Florida Keys, 2011 (NCEI Accession 0098080)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Florida Institute of Oceanography's (FIO) SEAKEYS (Sustained Ecological Research Related to Management of the Florida Keys Seascape) program began in 1989 and has continued until the present. This program, now being supported through NOAA's South Florida Ecosystem Restoration, Prediction and Modeling Program (SFERPM), implements a framework for long-term monitoring and research along the 220 mile Florida coral reef tract and in Florida Bay at a geographical scale encompassing the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS).

Sea surface temperature data collected from buoys deployed world-wide in support of the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Search and Rescue (CG-SAR) program from 2004-03-24 to 2016-09-30 (NCEI Accession 0098145)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains sea surface temperature (SST) data collected from buoys deployed in support of the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Search and Rescue (CG-SAR) program. These SST data are reported in degrees Fahrenheit along with the geospatial coordinates in decimal degrees. Deployment purposes include research, law enforcement, environmental protection, training, search and rescue, legacy deployment and other. Buoys are deployed from fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, vessels and other platforms.

NODC Standard Product: World Ocean Database 1998 version 2 (5 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0098461)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Since the first release of WOD98, the staff of the Ocean Climate Laboratory of NOAA's National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) have performed additional quality control on the database. Version 2.0 also includes Ocean Data View (ODV) software developed by R. Schlitzer. (ODV software will uncompress selected data files and offers users several options for viewing the WOD98 data.)

NODC Standard Product: International Ocean Atlas Volume 2 - Biological Atlas of the Arctic Seas 2000 - Plankton of the Barents and Kara Seas (1 disc set) (NCEI Accession 0098568)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This CD-ROM, NODC-146, contains physical and biological data for the region extending from the Barents Sea to the Kara Sea during 158 scientific cruises for the period 1913-1999. Maps with the temporal distribution of physical and biological variables of the Barents and Kara Seas are presented, with proposed quality control criteria for phytoplankton and zooplankton data. Multiple tables of Arctic Seas species are presented, containing ecological and geographic characteristics for each species, and images of live cells for the dominant phytoplankton species.
