This dataset contains biological, chemical, physical, and time series data in netCDF formatted files, which follow the Climate and Forecast metadata convention (CF) and the Attribute Convention for Data Discovery (ACDD). University of Hawai'i at Mānoa collected the data from their in-situ moored station named nss_012_002: PacIOOS Nearshore Sensor 012: Kalama Beach Park, Maui, Hawaii, in the North Pacific Ocean. PacIOOS, which assembles data from University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and other sub-regional coastal and ocean observing systems of the U.S.

This dataset includes surface chemical, meteorological and physical data collected from Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) Saildrone Explorer 1079 (EuroSea project) (EXPOCODE 32DB20210918) in the Atlantic Ocean from 2021-09-18 to 2022-02-03. A Saildrone is a wind-powered ASV that is operated and piloted by the company Saildrone Inc. Forward propulsion is generated from wind and electricity from solar radiation.

This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected during R/V Celtic Explorer research cruises in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2022-04-24 to 2022-07-24. The measurements are done with a pCO2 instrument from General Oceanics (Miami/USA) and is described in detail in Pierrot et al.(2009). Surface water is pumped continuously from the intake to the equilibrator. The equilibrator contains a water spray head, and as the water flows through it the dissolved CO2 equilibrates with the headspace.

This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected during the R/V Hakuho Maru cruise KH-14-3 (EXPOCODE 49HH20140623) in the North Pacific Ocean, Bering Sea, Chukchi Sea from 2014-06-23 to 2014-08-11. These data include measurements of mole fraction of CO2 in ambient atmosphere in dry air, mole fraction of CO2 in air from equilibrator in dry air, atmospheric pressure, sea surface temperature and sea surface salinity.

Aircraft flights over the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas during the last half of July, 2017 collected fluorescent aerosol and meteorological data using a WIBS-4A (Droplet Measurement Technologies) instrument which measured aerosol fluorescence and an AIMMS (Aventech Research) instrument which recorded positional and meteorological variables. Text files of data recorded during flight are included. WIBS data provides single particle optical size and fluorescence characteristics for all particles sampled that were larger than ~0.5 microns in diameter.

These data include partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - atmosphere, partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - water, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and barometric pressure. The instruments used to collect these data include Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas analyzer.

This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected during the Wave Glider GEOMAR-4 sail in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2021-11-14 to 2022-01-14. These data include partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - atmosphere, partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - water, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and barometric pressure. A Wave Glider equipped with a VeGas CO2 system, a GPCTD and additional BGC sensors was deployed north of the CVOO site.

This dataset includes surface underway, chemical, meteorological and physical data collected during the GEOMAR Drifting Surface Buoy 1 deployment in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2022-02-26 to 2022-05-22. These data include partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - atmosphere, partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - water, sea surface salinity, sea surface temperature and barometric pressure. A surface buoy equipped with a VeGas CO2 system, a SBE37-ODO and a Weatherstation was moored on a seamount north west of the Cape Verdean Island Santo Antao.

ANN-NEP is a gridded surface ocean pCO2 data product for the Northeast Pacific open ocean. It was created using non-linear functional relationships between pCO2 observations from the Surface Ocean CO2 Atlas v2021 as well as additional data from Fisheries and Oceans Canada February 2019 Line P cruise, and a variety of independent predictor variables (see supplemental information) using an artificial neural network self-organizing-map-feed-forward-network approach described and evaluated in Duke et al. (2023).
