Oceanographic data collected during the EX1302 (Ship Shakedown, Patch Test and Exploration, NE Canyons) expedition on NOAA Ship OKEANOS EXPLORER in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2013-05-13 to 2013-06-06 (NCEI Accession 0108363)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Between May 13 and May 18, shakedown operations will: ensure all scientific sonars are in good working order after dry dock operations; assess noise reduction modifications to the sub-bottom profiler; update software and install new multibeam acquisition computer; conduct multibeam patch test; and calibrate the EK60. After May 18, the new 6000 meter ROV will be put through rigorous engineering tests, calibrated, and exercised.

Quality controlled water, sediment, tissue, and tar/oil chemistry analyses from the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) oil spill event in the Gulf of Mexico from 2010-04 to 2011-06, sourced from NOAA's Query Manager data management system (NCEI Accession 0108924)

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This collection includes 4 data files (one each for water, sediment, tissue, and tar/oil analyses) containing data from the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) Oil Spill Event Response Phase. These data are the work of Federal agencies, state environmental management agencies and BP and its contractors. This dataset represents the culmination of a quality-control process overseen by NOAA and involving each individual data provider.

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This report contains data from R/V Thomas G. Thompson cruise TN278 to the eastern tropical north pacific oxygen deficient zone. The objective of the cruise was to study denitrification and anammox processes. The cruise took place between March and April in 2012 in an area bounded by 26N-14N and 102W-114.5W. Two data sets are included. The first is the 1-meter binned CTD data while the second is the bottle cast data and contains nutrient values for nitrate, nitrite, silicate, phosphate and ammonium. The data were collected as part of NSF grant number OCE-1029316 to Allan Devol.

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Cruises took place from April 1996 to March 2013 in the Barents Sea and Arctic Ocean. Cruises were part of the long-term Ecological Monitoring program funded by the Russian Academy of Sciences and Murmansk Marine Biological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences to collect data for study of mechanisms of influence of Arctic environment on the state of marine life. Nuclear ice breakers were used as ship-of-opportunity to collect oceanographic data in the central Arctic and along the route of commercial cargo vessels (North Sea Route) in the Eastern Arctic Seas.
