NIST Public Data Inventory

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Records contained within the NIST public data listing are part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) enterprise data inventory. These data products are generated as part of the NIST mission, spanning multiple disciplines of scientific, engineering and technology research. This listing is provided as a data.json file, using the standard Project Open Data metadata schema v. 1.1.

Dataset for Establishing a Reference Focal Plane Using Machine Learning and Beads for Brightfield Imaging

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

This dataset consists of sets of images corresponding to the data sets 1-8 described in Table 1 in the manuscript "Establishing a Reference Focal Plane Using Machine Learning and Beads for Brightfield Imaging".Data sets from A2K contain two .zip folders: one with the .tiff images and one with the corresponding .txt file with live and dead cell concentration enumeration.

3D shape and size data for 10084 and 14163 lunar regolith particles

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

This database contains 3D shape and size data for 10084 (Apollo 11) and 14163 (Apollo 14) real lunar regolith particles, along with STL files for the approximately 14,000 particles studied via X-ray micro-CT and X-ray nano-CT. The database also contains similar information for the lunar regolith simulant JSC-1A but for over 100,000 particles. There are also images for all 10084 and 14163 particles examined by SEM, which are different particles out of the same material.

A Synthetic Methodology for Preparing Impregnated and Grafted Amine-Based Silica-Composites for Carbon Capture

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

The database includes thermal data analysis for silica-composites that conclude the loading amount of amine adsorbents of each composite as well as each specimen's ability to adsorb CO2. The data repository includes raw data files for: thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) weight loss and CO2 adsorption traces, and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra?s. For more information see the readme and data documentation. A complete manuscript describing data collection, analysis, and database documentation is to be published. File formats for data include: .txt and .csv.

Sound Pressure Spectral Density at 1 Hertz and 1 Hour Resolution Recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This record represents the sound pressure spectral density (PSD) levels derived from raw passive acoustic data. The hourly PSD levels were calculated as the median of mean-square pressure amplitude (µPa^2) with a frequency resolution of 1 Hz from 10 Hz to 24,000 Hz over no less than 1,800 seconds in each hour and converted to decibels (dB re 1 µPa^2/Hz). These data were recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01 between November 12, 2018 and January 28, 2019.

One-third Octave Band Sound Pressure Levels at 1 Hour Resolution Recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This record represents the one-third octave band sound pressure levels (TOLs) derived from raw passive acoustic data. TOLs were calculated by integration of sound pressure spectral density estimates of the mean-square pressure with a 1 Hz/1 second resolution over 33 one-third octave bands with the nominal center frequencies ranging from 13 to 20,000 Hz.

Atlantic Cod Sound Production Recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This record represents the Atlantic cod sound production detected from raw passive acoustic data. All acoustic data were processed using the automatic grunt detector and recogniser for Atlantic cod. This method uses a two-stage hypothesis testing algorithm that includes detecting and recognizing all grunt-like sounds. Detector output was manually verified, and false positives are removed. These data were recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01 between November 12, 2018 and January 28, 2019.

Blue Whale Sound Production Recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This record represents blue whale sound production detected from raw passive acoustic data. The Low Frequency Detection and Classification System (LFDCS) call library for blue whales was built for the data sampled at 120 Hz, and created for A, B, and AB phrases. All detections with a Mahalanobis distance of 5.0 or less were manually screened. Daily presence for blue whales was confirmed if there were three song phrases visible, including at least one true detection. Only accepting detections when three or more phrases occurred ensured our confidence in blue whale song presence.

Dolphin Sound Production Recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This record represents dolphin whistle and moan sound production detected from raw passive acoustic data. All acoustic data were processed through Pamguard's Whistle and Moan Detector (v. 2.01.03, Gillespie et al., 2013). Frequency ranges used varied by sanctuary to encompass the frequency ranges of local populations. A frequency range of 1.5-22 kHz was selected for Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary (SBNMS) to encompass the frequency ranges of both pilot whales and white-sided dolphins.

Fin Whale Sound Production Recorded at SanctSound Site SB01_01

Data provided by  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

This record represents fin whale sound production detected from raw passive acoustic data. The Low Frequency Detection and Classification System (LFDCS) call library for fin whale 20-Hz pulses was built for the data sampled at 120 Hz. All fin whale detections with a Mahalanobis distance of 3.0 or less were manually verified for true detections. A logistic regression was applied to these results to facilitate reducing the size of the dataset that ultimately needed to be manually verified for confident species detection.
