NOAA JPSS Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) Nadir Total Column First Guess Intermediate Product (IP) from IDPS
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This global Level-2 (L2) Intermediate Product (IP) provides a first guess estimate of total column ozone acquired by the Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) onboard the Suomi-NPP satellite and is used as an input for producing the OMPS Total Column Ozone Environmental Data Record (EDR). This product is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and is distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS) as aggregated 101 minute files.

State of the Climate Monthly Overview - National Snow and Ice
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The State of the Climate is a collection of periodic summaries recapping climate-related occurrences on both a global and national scale. The State of the Climate Monthly Overview - National Snow & Ice report provides an analysis of snow and ice in the United States, placing the data into a historical perspective. Topics include snow cover extent and snowpack; the period of record for snow cover extent is 1967 to the present. Significant events and storms are also covered. Reports are generated monthly for all snow months in the U.S.

United States Climate Reference Network (USCRN) Processed Data (Version Superseded)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
**Please note, this dataset has been superseded by a newer version (see below). Users should not use this version except in rare cases (e.g., when reproducing previous studies that used this version).** USCRN "Processed" Data (labeled as "uscrn-processed"): are interpreted values and derived geophysical parameters with other quality indicators processed from raw data (both Datalogger files and/or Raw Data from GOES and NOAAPort) by the USCRN Team.

Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) - Daily, Version 1.2 (Version Superseded)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
**This version has been superseded by a newer version. This version of the data should not be used except in rare cases (e.g., when reproducing studies that used this earlier version). The Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) comprises a total of 27 products. The Version 1.2 Daily product covers the period October 1998 to the present, with a delay of two to three months for data reception and processing. Version 1.2 supersedes all previous versions of the GPCP daily product. (Previous versions are not available from the NOAA/NCEI archive).

NOAA JPSS Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Active Fires Environmental Data Record (EDR) from IDPS
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains a high quality operational environmental data record (EDR) that contains pinpoint locations of active fires (AF) as identified by an algorithm based on the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Fires and Thermal Anomalies Collection 4 product, but improved upon and adapted for use by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer (VIIRS) instrument onboard the Suomi-NPP satellite. The product also contains quality information which provides support information on the quality of fire retrievals.

Global Historical Climatology Network - Monthly (GHCN-M), Version 3
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
**Please note, GHCN-Monthly provides climatological observations for four elements; monthly mean maximum temperature, minimum temperature, mean temperature, and monthly total precipitation. Precipitation are available in version 2, monthly mean maximum and minimum temperature in version 3, and monthly mean temperature is also now available in the Version 4 BETA release.

Enhanced Hourly Wind Station Data for the Contiguous United States
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
U.S. Enhanced Hourly Wind Station Data is digital data set DSI-6421, archived at the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI; formerly National Climatic Data Center, NCDC). During earlier work at NCDC, it was noted that anemometer elevations at U.S. weather stations (for which metadata related to anemometer height was available) varied widely with time. Between 1931 and 2000, there were up to 12 significant anemometer height changes at some of these stations, and on average there was one change per decade at any station with more than 10 years of record.

NOAA JPSS Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) Remapped to Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS) Sensor Data Record (SDR) from IDPS
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) is a 22 channel microwave sounder on board the Suomi NPP satellite that provides continuous cross-track scanning in a 824 km sun-synchronous orbit. This operational data set provides a sensor data record (SDR) remapped to instrument data from the Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS).

U.S. 15 Minute Precipitation Data
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
U.S. 15 Minute Precipitation Data is digital data set DSI-3260, archived at the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). This is precipitation data. The primary source of data for this file is approximately 2,000 mostly U.S. weather stations operated or managed by the U.S. National Weather Service. Stations are primary, secondary, or cooperative observer sites that have the capability to measure precipitation at 15 minute intervals. This dataset contains 15-minute precipitation data (reported 4 times per hour, if precip occurs) for U.S. stations along with selected non-U.S. stations in U.S.
