NOAA JPSS Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Daily Level-3 Land Surface Temperature for Night and Day from NDE
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This global Level-3 (L3) Environmental Data Record (EDR) contains land surface temperature (LST) detected with the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) onboard the Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20 satellites. This daily product includes night and day LST grids generated from VIIRS Sensor Data Records (SDR). This product is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and is distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS) as global grids in the NetCDF-4 file format with metadata attributes included.

NOAA JPSS Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Ocean Color/Chlorophyll (OCC) Environmental Data Record (EDR) from IDPS (Superseded)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Disclaimer: This dataset was superceded by an improved reprocessed product. Please see the documentation tab below for links to the reprocessed dataset. This dataset contains an operational Environmental Data Record (EDR) of Ocean Color/Chlorophyll (OCC) from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument onboard the Suomi-NPP satellite and is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS).

NOAA JPSS Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Cloud Type and Phase Environmental Data Record (EDR) from NDE
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset contains a high quality operational Environmental Data Record (EDR) of cloud type and phase from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument onboard the Suomi-NPP satellite and is produced by the NOAA Satellite and Information Service (NESDIS). The EDR contains cloud type and phase information (liquid water, supercooled water, mixed phase, optically thin ice, optically thick ice, and multilayered ice) for each cloudy pixel.

State of the Climate Monthly Overview - Upper Air
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The State of the Climate is a collection of periodic summaries recapping climate-related occurrences on both a global and national scale. The State of the Climate Monthly Overview - Upper Air report describes tropospheric and stratospheric temperatures, with data placed into historical perspective. Temperatures above the Earth's surface are measured within the lower troposphere, middle troposphere, and stratosphere using in-situ balloon-borne instruments (radiosondes) and polar-orbiting satellites.

WDC-A Meteorological and Oceanographic Data from Chernobyl for 1986
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
WDCA Chernobyl Data consists of digital data set DSI-9681, archived at the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). World Data Center for Meteorology (WDC-A), located in Asheville, North Carolina, is a meteorological data center in a worldwide network of data centers for the various sciences established to promote international exchange of scientific data. This particular dataset consists of meteorological data from the April 1986 disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Ukraine. Upper air observations may include: winds, dew points, and temperatures.

International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set (ICOADS) Release 3.0 Final, Individual Reports in the International Maritime Meteorological Archive Format version 1 (IMMA1)
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This dataset, the International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set (ICOADS), is the most widely-used freely available collection of surface marine observations, with over 455 million individual marine reports spanning 1662-2014-each containing the observations and metadata reported from a given ship, buoy, coastal platform, or oceanographic instrument, providing data for the construction of gridded analyses of sea surface temperature, estimates of air-sea interaction and other meteorological variables.

Radar Plan Position Indicator Scope
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Radar Plan Position Indicator Scope is the collection of weather radar imagery for the period prior to the beginning of the Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) system deployed in the mid-1990s. While there are special radar observations in the collection, especially of hurricanes, the primary source of radar imagery in this collection is the weather radar network operated by the U.S. National Weather Service and its predecessor, the U.S. Weather Bureau. This network was deployed in the late 1950s.

State of the Climate Monthly Overview - National Tornadoes
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The State of the Climate is a collection of periodic summaries recapping climate-related occurrences on both a global and national scale. The State of the Climate Monthly Overview - National Tornadoes provides a summary of tornadic activity in the United States. Tornado occurrences and significant events, including storms and outbreaks, are covered. Regular monthly and annual reports begin in July 2008. Spring "tornado seaso" reports are available for 2006 and 2008. In some months during climatologically inactive periods, the narrative part of this report may be omitted.

State of the Climate Monthly Overview - Global El Niño/Southern Oscillation
Data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The State of the Climate is a collection of periodic summaries recapping climate-related occurrences on both a global and national scale. The State of the Climate Monthly Overview - Global El Niño/Southern Oscillation report describes atmospheric and oceanic conditions related to ENSO, a periodic fluctuation in sea surface temperature (El Niño) and the air pressure of the overlying atmosphere (Southern Oscillation) across the equatorial Pacific Ocean.
