Digital Nation Datasets

NTIA has made public use datasets available for every CPS Computer and Internet Use Supplement, as well as the Analyze Table of summary statistics used in the Data Explorer. All datasets are available in Stata, CSV, and raw/fixed formats, and are accompanied by official documentation produced by the Census Bureau (with the exception of the Analyze Table, with was created by NTIA and accompanied by documentation written by NTIA).

Digital Nation Data Explorer

Data Explorer enables easy tracking of metrics about computer and Internet use over time. Simply choose a metric of interest from the drop-down menu. The default Map mode depicts percentages by state, while Chart mode allows metrics to be broken down by demographics and viewed as either percentages of the population or estimated numbers of people or households.

Integrated Industry-Level Production Account (KLEMS)

The integrated industry-level production account (ILPA) contains estimates of the sources of economic growth. It allows analysts to trace aggregate GDP growth from its industry origins to changes in factors of production, including capital, labor, intermediate inputs, and (integrated) multifactor productivity. Accounts of this nature are often referred to as 'KLEMS' accounts and the 'integrated' terminology reflects a collaboration between the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and BEA to produce consistent estimates.

Almanac API - Ranking by Geography ID within a State

This API is designed to find the rankings by geography within the state for a specific metric (population or household) and rank (any of the metrics from provider, demographic, technology or speed). The results are the top ten and bottom ten records within the state for the particular geography type and my area rankings. Additionally we include +/- 5 rankings from the 'my' area rank.
