CTD, bottle, and other data were collected from the CORNIDE DE SAAVEDRA and other platforms from a world-wide distribution from 01 January 1914 to 31 December 1999. Data include profiles of pH, temperature and salinity. Nutrient data include concentration profiles of oxygen, phosphate, total phosphate, silicate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, chlorophyll, and phaeophytin. Data are archived in the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) Oceanographic format.

CTD and bottle data were collected from the ANDROMEDA and other platforms from a world-wide distribution from 01 January 1923 to 31 December 1999. Data were primarily collected off the coast of Portugal. Data include profiles of pH, temperature and salinity. Bottle data include concentration profiles of oxygen, phosphate, total phosphate, silicate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, chlorophyll, and phaeophytin. Data are archived in the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) Oceanographic format.

Temperature data were collected from the Red Sea and Indian Ocean from the Mys Ostrovskogo from 29 May 1964 to 22 December 1989. Temperature profiles were obtained employing a mechanical bathythermograph (MBT) as part of the Global Ocean Data Archaeology and Rescue (GODAR) project.

Temperature profile data were collected using EBT casts in the Indian Ocean from the MYS OSTROVSKOGO, IGNAT PAVLYUCHENKOV, ZVEZDA AZOVA, and KARA-DAG from February 13, 1986 to January 01, 1989. Additional funding for digitizing historic data were provided by GODAR.

Temperature, chemical, physical, and other data were collected from the OSHORO MARU from April 20, 1970 to September 7, 1970. Data were submitted by the Japan Meteorological Agency. Data were collected using bottle in the Bering sea and Sea of Okhotsk. Physical properties include water color, water transparency, and wind force.

Temperature profile data were collected using MBT casts from multiple platforms in a world-wide distribution from December 23, 1964 to December 19, 1991. Additional funding for digitizing historic data was provided by GODAR.

Temperature, salinity, oxygen, phosphate, and other data were collected using bottle casts from the CARYN and ALBATROSS III in the North Atlantic Ocean from October 21, 1948 to October 15, 1951. These data were submitted by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). Additional funding for digitizing historic data was provided by GODAR.

Temperature profile and nutrients data were collected using bottle casts from the ORION and EASTWARD in the Equatorial Pacific Ocean. Data were collected from 19 April 1971 to 30 March 1994. Data were submitted by Servicio Hidrografico Y Oceanografico De La Armada De Chile with support from Global Ocean Data Archaeology and Rescue (GODAR) project. Nutrients data include nitrate, nitrite, oxygen, phosphate, and silicate.

Temperature profile data were collected using MBT casts in the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean from the SKIF, MYSLITEL, SEVASTOPOLSKIY RYBAK, PRIMORETS, ZHELEZNYAKOV, GORNOSTAEVKA, and GOLUB MIRA from 12 September 1970 to 19 May 1990. Additional funding for digitizing historic data were provided by GODAR.
