NIST Triatomic Spectral Database - SRD 117

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

This data base contains the rotational spectral lines observed and reported in the open literature for 55 triatomic molecules through June 1976. The isotopic molecular species, assigned quantum numbers, observed frequency, estimated measurement uncertainty and reference are given for each transition reported. In addition to correcting a number of misprints and errors in the literature cited, the spectral lines for approximately 15 molecules have been refit to produce a comprehensive and consistent analysis of all the data extracted from various literature sources.

NIST Bibliography of Photon Total Cross Section (Attenuation Coefficient) Measurements

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

A bibliography is presented of papers reporting absolute measurements of photon (XUV, x-ray, gamma-ray, bremsstrahlung) total interaction cross sections or attenuation coefficients for the elements and some compounds. The energy range covered is from 10 eV to above 10 GeV. These papers are part of the reference collection of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Photon and Charged Particle Data Center. They cover the period from 1907 through 1995. Included with each reference are annotations specifying the energy range covered and the substances studied.

NDRL/NIST Solution Kinetics Database - SRD 40

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

The NDRL/NIST Solution Kinetics Database contains data on rate constants for solution-phase chemical reactions. The database is designed to be searched by reactants, products, solvents, or any combination of these. In addition, the bibliography may be searched by author name, title words, journal, page(s), and/or year. This is not the same database as the one at Notre Dame, although both databases share a common data source.

NIST ITS-90 Thermocouple Database - SRD 60

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

This database reproduces a subset of the tables and reference functions of NIST Monograph 175, 'Temperature Electromotive Force Reference Functions and Tables for the Letter-Designated Thermocouple Types Based on the ITS-90'. All temperatures used by this database are given on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90), and all emf values are given in units of the 1990 SI volt. Reference functions and tables are given for the eight letter-designated thermocouple types: noble-metal types B, R, and S; and base-metal types E, J, K, N, and T.

Color FERET Database

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

The DOD Counterdrug Technology Program sponsored the Facial Recognition Technology (FERET) program and development of the FERET database. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is serving as Technical Agent for distribution of the FERET database. The goal of the FERET program is to develop new techniques, technology, and algorithms for the automatic recognition of human faces. As part of the FERET program, a database of facial imagery was collected between December 1993 and August 1996. The database is used to develop, test, and evaluate face recognition algorithms.

NIST Heat Transmission Properties of Insulating and Building Materials Database - SRD 81

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

NIST has accumulated a valuable and comprehensive collection of thermal conductivity data from measurements performed with a 200-mm square guarded-hot-plate apparatus. The guarded-hot-plate test method is arguably the most accurate and popular method for determination of thermal transmission properties of flat, homogeneous specimens under steady state conditions. Several organizations, including ASTM and ISO, have standardized the method.

NIST Digital Video 1 - NIST Special Database 26

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

NIST Digital Video 1 is a public-domain collection of digital video created to encourage more researchers to address real-world problems and support the scientific comparison of solutions of digital video search, retrieval, and display. This collection consists of eight videos, totaling over two hours in length, selected from NIST's public domain archive of marketing, technical, and educational material.

NIST Wavenumbers for Calibration of IR Spectrometers - SRD 118

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Wavenumber Calibration Tables from Heterodyne Frequency Measurements contains tables of gas-phase infrared transition wavenumbers and their spectroscopic assignments that are appropriate for calibrating high-spectral-resolution infrared spectrometers. The calibration lines for carbonyl sulfide (OCS), nitrous oxide (N2O), nitric oxide (NO), carbonyl sulfide (CS2), and carbon monoxide (CO) collectively extend from approximately 486 wavenumber (cm-1) to 4355 wavenumbers (cm-1) in the infrared. The bibliography and spectral atlas are current through November 1994.

CORR-DATA

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Corrosion is defined as the deterioration of a material due to chemical reactions with its environment. Understanding corrosion, and corrosion rates, is necessary to ensure that the design of objects we interact with every day, from the bridges we drive over to the containers used to transport chemicals, from the pipes that carry our water to the utensils we cook with, are safe and perform to specifications.
