This dataset contains biological, chemical, optical, and physical data collected on R/V Pelican during cruise PE17-02 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2016-07-23 to 2016-08-02. These data include O2_sat_pcnt, PAR, depth, dissolved Oxygen, fluorescence, potential temperature, salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors, sigma-theta, water pressure, and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD Sea-Bird SBE 911plus, Fluorometer, LI-COR Biospherical PAR Sensor, and Sea-Bird SBE 43 Dissolved Oxygen Sensor. These data were collected by Dr Jennifer B. Glass and Frank James Stewart of Georgia Institute of Technology as part of the "Microbial processes of pelagic anaerobic methane cycling in oxygen minimum zones (Methane cycling in OMZs)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2021-02-24.
The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO:
