The water depth, temperature and other data was collected as part of Equatorial Pacific Ocean Climate Studies from ships Discoverer and Oceanographer. The data was collected from ship RUSH. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT and MBT), OSD and CTD data containing 391,748 profiles was submitted in four tapes by Mr. Robert S. Rushton of Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), Stennis Space Center, MS.
