AM Bench 2018 measurement results data: optical microscopy of laser-scanned single tracks on nickel Alloy 625 plates (AMB2018-02)

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

The following optical micrograph data files are provided in support of the AM Bench 2018 modeling challenges associated with bare plate single track laser scans performed on the NIST Additive Manufacturing Metrology Testbed. These measurements were used in the AMB2018-02 set of challenges associated with track melt pool geometry (CHAL-AMB2018-02-MP).

TREC 1993 Routing dataset

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

In TREC the routing task is represented by using known topics and known relevant documents for those topics, but new data for testing. The participants are given a set of known (or training) topics, along with a set of documents, including known relevant documents for those topics. The topics consist of natural language text describing a user's information need. The topics are used to create a set of queries (the actual input to the retrieval system) which are then used against the training documents.

Observations of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and carbon monoxide (CO) mole fractions from the Los Angeles Megacity Carbon Project

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Updated April 2025. Here we provide hourly observations of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and carbon monoxide (CO) mole fractions in dry air from tower- and rooftop-based sites in the Los Angeles Megacity Carbon Project network. Each *.tgz (tar/gzip) archive contains data files for a given site location, named by its 3-letter code. To extract *.tgz files on a unix platform, use "tar -xvzf <filename>".

Enhanced Gain Extrapolation

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

We present an overview on a recently developedtechnique for performing antenna gain measurements with gainextrapolation that uses significantly fewer data points and atshorter distances than traditional gain extrapolation. This enhancedtechnique purposely incorporates third-order mutualcoupling between antennas, which can be thought of as a usefulhomodyne signal, rather than an unwanted degradation of theantenna-to-antenna coupling signal as has been the historicallyaccepted viewpoint.

Data associated with "Population-resolved measurement of an avoided crossing of light-dressed states"

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Data associated with the publication entitled: "Population-resolved measurement of an avoided crossing of light-dressed states."A two-level system coupled by a coherent field is a ubiquitous system in atomic and molecular physics. In the rotating wave approximation, the light-dressed states are well described by a simple 2x2 Hamiltonian which can be easily solved analytically and is thus used in quantum mechanics education and as a basis for intuition for more complicated systems.

Phase-shift Data for Fully Quantum Calculations of Thermophysical Properties for Noble Gases

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

This data deposit contains JSON files of phase-shift data and related quantities for pair interactions using state-of-the-art pair potentials for helium (isotopes of mass 3 and 4 and their cross interaction), neon (all six interactions among isotopes with masses 20, 21, and 22), and argon (the dominant isotope of mass 40). A Python program is supplied to compute the second virial coefficient B(T), its first two temperature derivatives, and the second acoustic virial coefficient for any of these pair interactions at temperatures up to 1500 K.

Line of Site 2D Simulator

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

https://github.com/usnistgov/los_simulation A repository to model line-of-site power from one or more transmitters to receivers, includes antenna directivity. Based on the friis equation. This repo is meant to calculate a 2D line of site power, it has tools for visualizing different scenarios.

Data for manuscript entitled "Compact dual comb time-transfer and ranging for future space-based distributed sensing"

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Data for the figures in the manuscript entitled "Compact dual comb time-transfer and ranging for future space-based distributed sensing" published in Applied Optics. Abstract: We describe a general design for a compact frequency comb-based optical time transfer and ranging node with volume of 14 L, mass of 10 kg, and power consumption of 46 W. We assess the residual noise from the comb-based system by making both ranging and time transfer measurements using these compact nodes over a 4.4 km free-space testbed.

C-V2X Interoperability Analyzer

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

This software is a cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) interoperability analyzer tool developed at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Internet of Thing (IoT) Devices Interoperability Testbed. It can be used to automatically analyze and assess C-V2X protocol compatibility and interoperability among commercial on-board units (OBUs) and road-side units (RSUs) based on the IEEE 1609.2, IEEE 1609.3, and SAE J2735 standards to achieve and assure their interoperability.
