Data for "Estimating Uncertainty in Robot Kinematics and Pose Measurements with Expectation-Maximization"

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Included here are figures and relevant data for the work "Estimating Uncertainty in Robot Kinematics and Pose Measurements with Expectation-Maximization". We present a method to validate the measurement uncertainty of a metrology instrument without a priori estimates in the context of a kinematic calibration using Expectation-Maximization methods and extend our results to characterize post-calibration pose uncertainty for the manipulator throughout a workspace.

Wind speed estimates of the December 2021 Quad-State Tornado in Mayfield, KY based on treefall pattern analysis

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

A violent tornado outbreak occurred on December 10-11, 2021 in the Midwest US. One of the tornadoes, known as the Quad-State tornado, tracked across four states and devastated the downtown area of Mayfield, KY, producing high-end EF-4 damage. The data here provides a series of wind speed and direction time histories of the Quad-State tornado for 44 damaged residential houses in Mayfield, KY, which can be useful for detailed forensic analysis of the residential building damage.

Data for figures in the AMTA 2023 conference paper titled "NIST Antenna Gain and Polarization Calibration Service Reinstatement"

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

After a five-year renovation of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Boulder, CO, antenna measurement facility, the Antenna On-Axis Gain and Polarization Measurements Service SKU63100S was reinstated with the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM). In addition to an overhaul of the antenna facility, the process of reinstatement involved a comprehensive measurement campaign of multiple international check-standard antennas over multiple frequency bands spanning 8 GHz to 110 GHz.

UV-visible absorbance spectra of purified and unpurified m-cresol purple samples in sodium hydroxide and sodium chloride solutions at pH 12

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

M-cresol purple is the most widely used pH indicator dye for seawater pH measurements. Impurities in the indicator are known to absorb strongly at one of the wavelengths used in spectrophotometric pH determination and lead to large biases in the pH measurements. This repository contains data and Matlab scripts to facilitate the implementation of a DD-SIMCA model for detecting residual impurities in purified m-cresol purple (mCP) relevant to climate quality seawater pH measurements.

Effects of as-built surface with varying number of contour passes on high-cycle fatigue behavior of additively manufactured nickel alloy 718

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Abstract (from the manuscript): High cycle fatigue life of laser-powder bed fusion (L-PBF) parts depends on several factors; as-built surfaces, when present, are a particular concern. This work measures as-built L-PBF surfaces with X-ray computed tomography, and uses rotating beam fatigue (RBF) testing to measure high cycle fatigue life. Surfaces with different, but consistent, characteristics are achieved by build in vertical specimens and changing only the number of contour passes.

Database Infrastructure for Mass Spectrometry - Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Data here contain and describe an open-source structured query language (SQLite) portable database containing high resolution mass spectrometry data (MS1 and MS2) for per- and polyfluorinated alykl substances (PFAS) and associated metadata regarding their measurement techniques, quality assurance metrics, and the samples from which they were produced. These data are stored in a format adhering to the Database Infrastructure for Mass Spectrometry (DIMSpec) project. That project produces and uses databases like this one, providing a complete toolkit for non-targeted analysis.

Measuring the permittivity of Fused Silica with planar on-wafer structures up to 325 GHz

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Fused silica has become an interesting alternative to silicon for millimeter-wave (mmWave) applications. Unfortunately, there are few reports on the measurement of fused silica’s permittivity above 110 GHz that use electrical rather than optical methods. Given that mmWave applications use electrical circuits, additional electrical data would be useful to industry. To test the feasibility of electrical methods, we applied on-wafer techniques based on coplanar waveguide transmission lines to measure the complex permittivity of fused silica to 325 GHz.

Data for Plots for work titled: Robust Measurements for RF Fingerprinting with Eigenphones

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Raw data from this project are recorded voltage waveforms versus time from a calibrated real time oscilloscope, waveforms in both frequency, time and modulated domain in both frequency and time domain from a vector receiver. The raw data are text files in MATLAB format. The text files recorded from the oscilloscope end with .mat and can have varying number of columns depending on the number of scope channels that were recorded.

Software and Data Associated with Paper "Data Assimilation in 2D Hyperbolic/Parabolic systems using stabilized explicit finite difference scheme run backward in time".

Data provided by  National Institute of Standards and Technology

Images and Fortran codes used to generate results in the paper "Data Assimilation in 2D Hyperbolic/Parabolic systems using stabilized explicit finite difference scheme run backward in time" by Alfred Carasso. . In data assimilation one is given a proposed solution to a time-dependent partial differential equation at some time T and are asked to identify an initial condition at some earlier time 0 that evolves into the given solution at time T.
